" Thank you for your time " My boss says and stands up to shake the investors indicating the end of the meeting.

We arrived here a bit early so I was able to go through some of our documents before the meeting and it seemed OK even though the financial statement wasn't quiet detailed.

To be honest, I still feel like there are a lot of things I need to know about the company since I will be attending more meetings I'll need to understand the intricacies of this business.

I grab my bosses bag and official phone line before following behind him as he exited the room. I've noticed Mr Adebayo was addicted to pressing his phone, he has been tapping on it since we left the offic,e I'd say the only time he wasn't pressing was during the meeting, that's probably one of the attribute of a business man who knows.

Today has been pretty long. I check my time and its just 5 pm,I haven't really done as much work as I expected today, I feel the major thing I did before this meeting was going through the financial department file my boss asked me to check out, which seemed OK by the way, but I was still going to go through it again.

After that, I went for my meeting with the senior staffs of the company which was pretty interesting because I love meeting new people and the manager seemed like a nice person. Maybe. He was a little too forward though, and to think he seemed so comfortable with my boss, they were talking so unprofessional to each other, or maybe they were brothers.

Nahh, I don't think so,
besides my boss seemed like an onlylonely child. Granted I've only been at the office twice, but I feel its weird to have never seen him smile but maybe he's just having a bad week. Maybe not.

I'll like to believe my boss was a sprinter. He was the best sprinter in his high school and probably did a second degree for sprinting in his university. Literally that's the only explanation for why he was walking this fast, I mean its called walking for a reason. I was finding this hard because of the heels I had on, couldn't he just take one step at a time and why on earth does this organization have a parking lot as wide as this, for all I know they weren't car dealers. or were they?
Nahh, they weren't.

Finally we arrived at were the driver was parked, and just as expected I was already breathing like I ran a marathon, I use my last ounce of energy and walked towards the passenger sit while the driver opened the door for my boss who seemed perfectly OK and composed.

My stomach growls signifying what? Hunger! God was I hungry, I haven't had anything to eat since breakfast and that wasn't OK.

The driver who I've learnt his name to be Sadiq turns on the AC immediately he starts the engine and the cool breeze calms my breathing down. Partly.. We were headed back to the company now. And I mentally write a list of things I wanted to do at the office before closing.

" Ma, are we going to the Company? " Sadiq asks me immediately we leave the parking lot with an evident Yoruba accent.

He looks educated tho and he's probably in his early 30s
" Yes we're going to the company. "

" Okay ma " he answers respectfully. I look up at the center mirror and my boss was still on his phone.

" what state are you from Sadiq? " I ask out of curiosity.

" Oyo state ma " he replies politely keeping his eyes on the road.
Something about the way he uses ' Ma ' when speaking to me makes feel accomplished, he he! ' Ma'

" Really, my mum is from Oyo state too!" I exclaim

" Ma do you understand Yoruba? " he asks sounding unsure of weather to ask as we reach a traffic light.
