So that's just what I did. I walked through the hallways of the school and I honestly probably looked like an idiot. It took me a bit to find the gym, but when I did I pushed open the heavy doors and...
-and there was everyone I saw in the main hall prior. Togami, Ishimaru, Kirigiri.. Of course Ishimaru was here first, I mean, he's the Ultimate Moral Compass, right? How do you even get an Ultimate like that? Is he.. really good at being a Hall Monitor, or something? I guess I'm here now, so whatever was on that monitor should-
"See? Everything looks like a normal entrance ceremony! It was just some type of weird trick!" Yasuhiro laughed.
Well. He was right. It didn't look strange at all, not that I would know what a Hope's Peak Academy-
"Helllllllooooooooooooooooooo? Well then, this thing seems to be working. Is everyone there? Then let's get going!"
And that's when it started. The figure on the monitor appeared, and it definitely wasn't what any of us would have expected.
"WHAAAAAAAAAA-?!"
I heard someone scream. Judging by the way it sounded, it was Hagakure. Well, I couldn't exactly blame him. What appeared on stage wasn't what anyone would've expected.
"A... monochrome teddy bear?" A small voice questioned. That's Chihiro, small voice, stuttering.. yeah. Definitely Chihiro.
"I'm not a teddy bear."
"H-Huh? You..."
My voice was shaking. When I first stepped into Hope's Peak, this wasn't what I expected. I thought I would be going to some.. prestigious academy. Not.. being trapped with a teddy bear expecting us to believe it. Then the response came.
"I... am.. Monokuma. And I am this school's headmaster." His voice was unnerving, and most certainly out of place for the situation we seemed to be in right now.
"...You expect us to believe that?" A cold, sharp voice cut through the small silence. From what I heard earlier, that was Byakuya.
"Of course! It's true, after all. Unless.. Mr. I'm-better-than-all-of-you has any proof it's not?"
"Tch..." Byakuya looked away, clearly not having anything to say against this thing.
"Don't be alarmed! I'm sure it's just a stuffed bear with a speaker inside of it." Ishimaru interjected.
"I told you! I'm not a teddy bear! I'm Monokuma, and I'm your headmaster!" The bear threatened, throwing its arms above its head.
"WAAAAAH! IT MOVED!" Hifumi cried out.
"Calm down! It's prolly a remote control toy or somethin'..." Mondo retorted, clearly he wasn't buying any of this. But it just seemed too real to not be true.. All of us were trapped here, and all of us happened to black out when we entered the school, yes, but.. those metal plates on the windows in the classroom I woke up in. Those were keeping us here, along with all the locks on the doors. But what if that were for a good reason..? What if us being trapped here wasn't a bad thing? Who am I kidding, of course it was..
I'm pulled out of my thoughts by Monokuma's unnecessarily high-pitched voice yelling back at Mondo.
"How DARE you compare me to a child's plaything?! I'm hurt! My remote control system is MUCH more complex than anything even NASA could recreate or even understand!" The bear laughed, "Wow, look at you go. Making me say things that would ruin NASA's dreams. I may be the one keeping you guys here, but even I couldn't BEAR that!"
