When the light subsided, everything was gone.
There was no land, just a flat, barren, burnt wasteland. The trees were gone. The plants were gone. The fighters were gone. Silence. Then, strange black shapes shot across the sky. They were sleek, pointed, and deadly looking. The tip tapered to a point, the back widening to a curve. Thin flaps covered the whole thing, opening whenever the things turned. Information formed in my head. Aircraft. They were called "Morti". Death. They seemed to be made entirely out of shadows, but they seemed real, and very very dangerous. The Morti zipped across the sky, dropping black shapes that dropped through the air and slammed into the ground, causing a huge explosion of shadows. They slowed down over my head, and came to a hover. My heart began beating furiously, but I realized they weren't here for me, a glass man lay shattered on the wasteland, stirring gently, not quite dead. The Morti were merciless, they rose high into the air, and then simultaneously dropped the projectiles. The word "bomb" formed amongst my thoughts. Then, there was darkness. I begun to think I was falling again, but I felt solid ground beneath me. I opened my eyes again, this time to blinding light and Adalbert's face over mine, peering intently with furrowed brows.
"He's alright," he said, obviously relieved. "It was just a blackout, he should be okay." Everyone let out a collective sigh. "You were out for almost three hours, we thought you were dead!" Exclaimed Adalbert. "Why would you think that?" I questioned. Adalbert answered, "Well, we thought that you were going into cardiac arrest, or you fainted from exhaustion, or-never mind, we just thought you were hurt. But it was just a blackout. By the way, what did you see?
I saw a horrible bright light, and dark, deadly shapes flying across the sky, dropping horrible bombs that caused death and left a shadow. I saw a glass man lying on the ground, shattered and dying. The shapes closed in on him, and they all dropped their bombs on him."
