➶︎ WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A DERANGED
UNCLE ESCAPES AZKABAN !
( Chapter 2 Part i., Old version.
setting: Third Year, Evangeline's manor. )

IT WAS A WEEK BEFORE SEPTEMBER 1ST when a knock came from the door of Scamander manor. Evangeline, who was in the middle of writing a letter, stopped, and asked Elspeth to open the door. The moonlight shone through the window as she blew out the candle light, the cinnamon scent lingering from the burns of it. Straightening her skirt and taking her wand, just in case of an enemy, Evangeline went downstairs.

Whosoever she expected to visit her in the dead of night was certainly not Aurors, especially with the Minister of British Magical government. It came as a shock, really, but Evangeline quickly put up her facade, one she used only for business to keep up the Black reputation.

"Ms. Black," Greeted the Minister, a nervous tone in his voice.

"Minister," Greeted Evangeline, a cold, almost glare like look on her face as she said back cooly, "I expect a good reason as to why you barged into my property in this time?"

"Well, yes, of-of course," He rambled as he and a few of the aurors went inside the manor, uncomfortably shifting, "A few hours ago, your uncle, Sirius Black, have escaped Azkaban."

Well, that was not what she expected. Out of all the things she thought the ministry could do, this was not it. Azkaban was supposed to be the most safe and twisted prison there was, yet here comes the minister of magic, telling the young heiress that a supposedly very wanted criminal just escaped. Merlin, help the girl.

( Chapter 2 Part ii., Old version.
setting: Third Year, Platform 9 3/4. )

PLATFORM NINE AND THREE QUARTERS, albeit having been there for probably centuries, still managed to look wonderful and brand new each year. The red train going to Hogwarts stood in its usual glory, the noises of witches and muggles alike. Evangeline, despite having the moto she does every year—to finish her studies, have fun, and blend in with the rest—was probably not going to accomplish the latter anytime soon. Because if being a Black with unknown powers of the late Scamander was not eye-catching enough, then having a wanted and deranged criminal uncle on the loose probably did it.

As the heiress moved to get into the train, many stared, looking at her in disgust and fear. It was something to get used to, really, as being a Black is not a life with sunshines and daisies. Fathers sneered at her, though they were too scared to do anything, while mothers tell their children to not talk to her. Really, there was already no need to tell that, as the only people that even dared to talk to her would be Purebloods and a few upper Slytherins.
