A new beginning (A Jungkook-Fanfiction )

Why?

The next morning, Aurora got up early. The lack of communication with her best friend made her lose her sleep. She left her two loved ones in bed as they were still cuddling.
Mayla had developed a strong affection for Jungkook to the point that she asked to be held by him more often than by her mother.
It was currently 9 am and she hoped that Carina was already up when she made her way to Hoseok's apartment. In front of the entrance, she took a last big breath before knocking at the door. She could hear the faint sound of voices inside. A moment later, J-Hope stood face to face with her.
"Oh Hi, Aurora." He welcomed her with a big smile.
"Hey J-Hope. Is Carina up?" She hoped that her friend would agree to see her.
"Yes, she is. Come on in." He opened the door a little bit more for her to get in.

Once inside, he guided her to the kitchen where Carina was sitting at a small table.
"Do you want some coffee?"  Hoseok asked her as she took a seat next to her BFF.
"Yes, please, that would be lovely."
"Babe, make is strong with 1 sugar and some milk." Carina added which brought a smile to Aurora's lips. When Hoseok gave her her cup, he looked at the two women who hadn't exchanged a word yet.
"Ladies, I will leave you alone now. Remember that you went through a lot together so don't let this little thing come between you."  He leaned towards Carina to give her a sweet peck before turning to Aurora telling her that he hoped to see her as well as Jungkook and Mayla soon.

After he left, Carina was still not talking, so Aurora thought that it was her call to speak up first.
"Carina? Are you still mad at me?"  Her voice was only a whisper.
"I'm not mad. Disappointed? Yes."
"Look, I'm sorry. There were a lot of times I wanted to tell you."
"Why didn't you? Did you think that I would be against your relationship? I thought we could share anything." Carina told her, staring at the mug in her hands. The hurt, she felt, was still there and Aurora could see it.
"Believe me, I wanted to. When Jungkook and I kissed for the first time, you and Hobi were not talking to each other. So I felt bad for being with JK. Also at that moment, I wasn't sure about my feelings or his." Aurora hoped that her explanation could give her friend more inside into why she did what she did.
When Carina didn't continue, Aurora took her hand.
"You are best friend. The one I trust with my life.  This whole 'keep it a secret' was not easy for me. I was constantly avoiding to spill everything out to you and that time you came to my apartment, and Mayla almost revealed Jungkook who was hiding in my bedroom."
Carina's flabbergasted expression combined with the memory of the last part she just shared with her, was hilarious. Aurora couldn't hold back her laugh.
"When was he there?"
"When you told me about your plan to go to LA. You remember Mayla trying to open my door, yelling Kookie. Well, he was in my bedroom and she wanted to show you."
Now Carina was laughing too, thinking back at the situation and how it would have turned out if Mayla had opened the door.
From there on, the two chatted away like before the whole incident. Carina assured her that she was happy that she had found Jungkook and that he seemed madly in love with her. Aurora countered with the same words regarding J-Hope.

An hour later, Aurora arrived back home to find her man and her daughter in front of the TV watching some cartoons and munching on cereals.
She took a sear next to Jungkook and kissed him dearly.
"I can see it went well with Carina."  He told her putting the bowl away to put his arms around her and kiss her nose.
"Yes, we are good now." She declare with a big smile."When do we need to leave for your company?"
"The meeting is at 11:30, we should probably leave in an hour." He informed her as he got back to eat his breakfast.
"Mayla, is it okay if I ask Uncle Jin if he wants to play with you today?"
"Oh yes, I want to show him all my stuffies." The girl exclaimed enthusiastically.
