Two months later

Aurora just got home. Luckily her little girl was still in daycare when she crumbled down as soon as the front door to her apartment closed behind her.

"This can not be. How can this happen to me?"
Tears are already streaming down her face as her body starts to tremble uncontrollably.

After an hour of non-stopping sobbing, she put herself together. She stopped in front of her small mirror to fix herself as she didn't want the other parents eyeing her when she picked Mayla up. Her girl was her number one priority in her life.

After dinner, Aurora stayed with Mayla until she fell asleep. She held her close to her as memories of her last time with the man that she still loved to death played in her head. Again tears were starting to build as her emotions got the better of her.

After giving her sleeping girl one last kiss, she retreated on shaky feet to her bedroom. She opened the upper drawer to retrieve her old cellphone. She had turned it off the moment she had sent Carina an email two months ago and had never turned it on again. She was not sure if she could handle the messages she would surely pop up the minute the screen came back on.
However, today was a day that she really needed her BFF's support. Because she could not remember her friend's phone number by heart, she did have to turn on the said phone. She almost let the device fall out of her hand due to the amount of messages that sprang to life before her eyes. She scrolled fast to the contacts and retrieved the needed number. Then she turned the old device off again. She was not strong enough to deal with Jungkook or even with Yoongi's words at that moment.

Holding her new phone in her hands, she entered Carina's number. Her fingers were shaking and she almost did not hit that connect button.

"Hello?" Only the sound of her voice was enough for Aurora to start crying.
"Hello, my best friend! Long time that we haven't spoken?"
"Aurora!!! Oh my god is that you? Please tell it is you?"
"Yes, It's me. How are you?" Aurora could not stop the tears.
"Finally. I was so worried about you. Why did you not contact me sooner?" Carina's voice sounded angry but she could also hear her friend crying.
"I know. Just know that I couldn't. Nevertheless, we are fine. Mayla asks about you all the time."
"Oh, my little girl. Where are you?"
"I tell you where I am but you have to promise that you keep it for yourself. Are you alone?"
"Yes. I'm all alone. And I promise not to tell anyone."  Aurora knew she could trust her friend to keep that promise.
"I live in Berlin now."
"Berlin? Like Berlin, where we met BTS."
"Yes, it was the first flight out of Korea. Also, I like it here, it brings back the good memories."
"I'm so happy that you called me. How are you? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. We are fine. How are you?"
"I'm good. Still the same as always."
"How can that be? Now that you can finally date Hoseok without hiding?"  Even if it hurt to bring back the past, she wanted to know about Carina's life for the last two months.
"Okay first off. Did you get our messages? Second. How up to date are you with BTS news?" Aurora sensed that something was out of the ordinary for Carina to asked these questions.
"I saw messages but did not read any of them. My old phone is off from the moment I left. I only turned it on quickly to get your number only moments ago."
"Oh, that means the other will see that you got their messages. Just be prepared." Carina's voice had a surprising tone to it.
"As for the news, I did not check a single one since that day. It would hurt too much to see this girl and Jun...."  She could not even say his name out loud without being a crying mess. She thought with time she would have more control over her feelings but she was wrong.
"Hey, sweetie. Stop crying. All is good. I'm with you from now on. If you need me I'm on a plane to you tomorrow?"  Aurora stopped for a moment, registering what Carina had told her.
"You would come to see me? I mean us!"
"Of course, you are my best friend and I can hear that you are having a tough time."  Aurora was so happy that she could call Carina her best friend.
"I really do need you. Can you come please?" Aurora was crying so loud by now that she was only hoping that Mayla would not wake up.
"I'll be there tomorrow."
They only stayed on the phone for another ten minutes, before Carina told her that they will discuss everything when they see each other tomorrow.
