Digong stared at his phone. He cannot believe what he is reading.

"Love, magresign na kaya ako para tigilan na nila tayong pareho".

The text was from Leni. And he couldn't believe it. Leni, whom he knew to be strong willed is now thinking of resigning. He dialled her number.

"Love, ano man yung message mo?", he asked Leni.

"Naisip ko kasi Love na hindi nila tayo titigilan hanggang nasa pwesto tayong pareho", Leni explained.

"Pero Love, kapag ginawa mo yan isipin man nila na hindi mo kaya ang pressure. At saka man Love, sa tingin mo they will really stop when you're going to step down? No, Love. It will only be the beginning", Digong tried to convince Leni to do otherwise.

"Naisip ko lang yun Love kasi hindi na tayo pinatahimik ng mga tao, may it be DDS or Dilawan", Leni replied.

"We will fight them together, Love. Trust me, I won't let them hurt you", Digong promised her.

"I love you, Love", Leni said as she appreciates Digong's constant effort on making her feel secured and loved.

"Mahal na mahal din man kita, Leni. Lagi ka mang mag - iingat ma'am. Let's have movie date later 😉", was Digong's reply that made Leni smile.

"Parang hindi ka busy, sir ah", she teased him.

"Ah walang busy busy sa akin para sa asawa ko", Digong jested.

"Naks! 'Anlakas ko sa'yo, Love ah", Leni equally teased him.

"Commander eh. Baka sa salas man ako matulog 'pag ano hindi man kita sinunod sunod ma'am", Digong replied that made Leni laughed.

"Sunduin mo na lang ako mamaya, Love. Pagluluto kita ng dinner", Leni said.

"Sige man, Love", and with that, they both hang up.

The following days, both Leni and Digong ignored the calls of the critics that one of them should step down.

"Their ( Duterte and Robredo) refusal to step down, kahit isa lang sa kanila ay pagpapahiwatig kung gaano nila gustong hawakan at kontrolin ang pamamalakad ng bansa. Kung may natitira pa silang delikadesa, dinggin nila ang panawagan ng taumbayan", another statement that the LP camp issued again.

When the said statement reached Duterte, he can't helped but be angry.

"Mga puñetang 'to ayaw tumigil sa kakangawa!", Digong ranted.

"Anong gagawin natin, Mayor?", Go asked his boss.

"Call Harry", he simply instructed.

Not long after the statement of LP members came out, the Palace followed in issuing theirs.

"Mag move on na po tayo, please lang po. Bakit ba ipinapanawagan ninyo ang pagbibitiw ng isa sa kanila eh pareho naman pong halal ng taumbayan ang ating presidente at bise presidente. At saka maganda ngang mag asawa ang ating mga pinuno dahil po makakasiguro tayong magkakaisa sila. Kaysa naman sa galing sa magkaibang partido na nagbabangayan lang ng nagbabangayan. Hayaan na po natin sila. Ginagawa nila ng maayos ang kanilang mga tabaho, sana ay ganoon din po sa inyo", Spox Harry stated the official statement of the Malacañang regarding the issue raised by the opposition.

But the opposition won't stop. They kept on reiterating that the Duterte couple are power hungry and slowly becoming dictators.

Leni also on the other hand had been the center of ridicule and shaming again. This angered Digong the more. He cannot let this pass anymore. He took out his phone and dialled a number.

"Good afternoon, Mr. President", the man on the other line greeted him.

"Ano man ba talaga ang problema ninyo? Hindi man kayo titigil? Ilalabas ko lahat ng kabulukan ninyo", Digong exclaimed angrily.

The man on the other line chuckled.

"Masyado naman po kayong highblood, Mr. President. Nagsasabi lamang po kami ng totoo", the man exclaimed laughing.

"Tigilan man na ninyo kami because I swear, sirain ko man din kayo isa isa. Alam ninyong mas kasira sira kayo kaysa sa amin ng asawa ko", matigas na sabi ni Digong.

"Look, Mr.President, you do not have any idea what our party went through when we learned of VP Leni's betrayal. Hindi ganoon kadali iyon. Her resignation is not enough compensation for fooling us around. We made her, we can break her too", galit na ring sabi ng kausap ni Digong.

"Watch over her, for she is very fragile and vulnerable", the man then dropped the call.

"Subukan man ninyong galawin siya, magkakagulo talaga tayo", Digong murmured to himself.

He then made another call.

"Yes, sir?", the man on the other line asked.

"Nasaan man kayo?", Digong asked.

"Sa Navotas sir, on going pa lang po ang meeting ni ma'am with the local executives", informed the head of security of Leni.

"Bantayan man ninyong maigi si ma'am, doble ingat din kayo sa pag uwi", he instructed him.

"Copy, sir", the man answered.

Bahay Pangarap 9:00 P.M

Digong and Leni were done eating dinner and were just both watching the evening news.

Digong was resting his head on Leni's lap while Leni caressed his hair.

"Love, hindi na sila naubusan ng issue ano?", sabi ni Leni patungkol sa mga panibagong banat na naman ng kanilang mga kritiko.

"Mga desperado na rin sila talaga, Love. Humihina na kasi sila", sagot ni Digong.

"Magresign na lang kaya ako, Love", Leni asked suddenly.

Digong looked at her face to see if she is serious. She is indeed serious.

"Napag usapan na natin ito Love, di ba? Bakit mo naisipan ulit iyan?", it was his turn to ask.

"Hindi naman sa sumusuko na ako, Love or nagpapadala sa pressure nila. Pero kasi hindi nila tayo titigilan hanggang hindi nila ako mapapababa sa pwesto. Para magkaroon na rin tayo ng peace of mind", paliwanag ni Leni.

Digong thought of her explanation. He also thought the warning of the man he had called a while back.

"Pero Love, paano man ang mga programa mo? Ang mga proyekto mo para sa mga kababayan natin?", he asked her.

"Pwede ko pa rin namang ipagpatuloy Love, hindi na bilang bise presidente kundi bilang First Lady mo na", Leni smiled at Digong.

"Pwede man, malalayo pa siya sa kapahamakan", Digong thought to himself.

When suddenly, Digong had an idea.

"Love, bakit 'di na lang kaya ako ang magresign? Para man pagbaba ko ikaw ang papalit sa akin. Hindi man ba para kontrol pa rin natin ang pamamahala kundi para masiguro nating magpapatuloy man ang mga proyektong sinimulan na natin", Digong suggested to Leni.
