thursday ariyah's house
"Are you coming home for Thanksgiving?" Ariyah's twin brother: Austin's voice echoed through the phone as she prepares herself a sandwich.
"Probably not, it's only in a few weeks," she shrugs drizzling the vinegary dressing over her toppings, "I'll be home for Christmas and New Years though, don't worry,"
"We miss having you around," Austin says a frown obvious in his voice, "By the way, Brayden told me that there was some guy calling you cute last night during your stream. Who is he?"
Ariyah freezes. Her cheeks blushing at the memory and she rolls her eyes. "Corpse?! I barely know him! It was a joke,"
Austin hums, not seeming to believe her but he drops the subject and quickly changes it, "what do you want for Christmas?"
"You have too many questions," Ariyah picks up her phone before walking into the living room with her lunch, "I want you to stop being annoying,"
"I don't think I can get you that by Christmas... what else?" He's smug and Ariyah groans,
"You're ridiculous," she tells him before taking a bite of her sandwich.

After hanging up the phone with Austin, Ariyah let's anxiety and dread fill her chest at the thought of flying back home to Ohio for the holidays. It's not that she didn't miss her family; she cried herself to sleep at least once a week because of her longing to be with her brothers. The thought of being back in her small town is what she found to be hard to prepare for.
She finds herself overthinking for a half hour before her phone buzzes and she smiles seeing a message from her group chat.
