corpse's apartment"What is even going on between you and Ari?" Loey yells through the phone. Corpse rolls his eyes as he puts a few more shirts into his suitcase.
"What do you think is going on between me and Ariyah?" He fires back, and he laughs to himself when the girl on the phone scoffs.
"I'm both of your friends! and yet you're leaving me out of the loop!" Loey frowns, "I need to know if you two are a thing or not!"
"That's all we are. We're just a thing. No labels or whatever," Corpse sighs, he's not even sure what to classify him and Ariyah as. "But I leave Monday morning to spend a week with her and then take care of her dogs until she gets back home from Ohio,"
"You're taking care of a girl's dogs that you're just a thing with!?" Loey screeches before laughing at him,
"I really don't know what we are Loey. We're taking it slow with the labels," Corpse tosses his suitcase off of his bed to sit next to his phone, "I really like her but you know how I am about relationships..."
Loey rolls her eyes, "which is why I'm so confused. You've told me hundreds of times about how much you hate relationships and how you will never be in a relationship... and yet here you are with Ariyah?" Loey shrugs, "I'm confused,"
"Me too," Corpse laughs, "I still hate relationships but then I talk to Ariyah and all I want is... Ariyah," he sighs to himself. "I fucking hate relationships. You don't understand how many times I've thought about texting her that I just want to be friends..."
"Do you just want to be friends?"
"No, but I hate relationships," Corpse groans as he covers his face, "I hate this shit,"
"Feelings?" Loey laughs, "Corpse, you're a good guy and Ari is amazing. Not all girls are like your ex... take it slow and figure out if you really want this," she bites her lip, "you're both making this hard on me. If either of you hurt the other I will not hesitate to hurt someone,"
Corpse smiles at his friend, "I wouldn't put it past you."

ariyah's houseAriyah groans and hits her forehead against her desk. She had a meeting at four with her manager and she knew that all it would be was a lecture.
When the time for the meeting comes up she joins the zoom call and smiles bashfully at the woman on the computer. "Hey Christina," Ariyah says,
"Ariyah Paine..." Christina sighs, "what are we doing with this romance?" The woman was intimidating and the way she looked at Ariyah made her feel small.
