The whole morning class passed by like a wind. The classes were too boring for Hades and Youi was just constantly falling asleep after every greeting.
Hades slanted her head, watching the sleeping lady beside her. She's confused, how come the lady before her is sleeping as if she is on her bed?
Does she find these horrible woods and metals comfortable? Hades' mind went blank.
She blew air towards Youi's direction and the latter only scrunched her nose up, sending tickles towards Hades' stomach. The blue-eyed lady watched Youi with that feeling of unusual jitters on her stomach.
"Persephone." Her low, dark voice immediately woke the sleeping lady.
"Why? What happened?"
"The peasants have left already. Tell me, where shall we head to?" Hades asked.
The room—the hall is actually empty. All of the Senior High School students are scheduled to have a half-day class for the day and everyone had made their leave.
"Field, we'll wait for my brother." Youi stood and carried her bag, leaving Hades to walk behind her.
As they walk out of the building, Hades' eyes never left the threatening aura it exudes. She constantly glared at the men and women who stared at Youi with those hungry, lustful eyes.
Persephone doesn't deserve to be objectified as such!
Her inner Goddess self finally defending what was promised to her.
I shall burn these unworthy souls for looking upon my claim! Persephone is mine and only mine!
Mismatched with her Goddess' self previous thoughts towards humans, Hades fell into the pit of confusion.
Why is that part of her being so territorial all of a sudden? Why is she so possessive towards a mere human being who is not meant for a Goddess like her?
Yet out of her mismatched thoughts, her hands seemed to move on its own by placing them around Youi. It is as if she was claiming what is hers.
"What are you doing?" Youi asked as Hades held her close, secured and tight but not suffocating.
"Protecting my claim." Hades' dark menacing voice strangely sent jitters to Youi.
What the heck is happening?! Her mind went haywire with the sexy yet threatening voice that confusingly soothed her.
"What claim?" Youi dared to question.
Hades' eyed her with that pool of deep blue water that can drown anyone yet it brought tranquility on Youi's brown ones.
"Persephone is mine." Hades' voice shifted from the menacing to a dark, devoted voice of hers.
"That's your father's…" Youi retorted, not getting what Hades implied.
"This Hades in front of you have her own Persephone which happened to be a peasant, like you." Youi is not a fan of word plays or anything close to language that made her think deeper than usual.
"Stop with the flowery plays, what do you mean?" Youi asked, not minding the threatening eyes that eyes her.
"You are mine." Youi's skin formed bumps because of the voice's devoted, territorial sound.
How come this inhumane way of approach in claiming is so appealing to her?
Was she out of her mind?
"W—What?"
"I never liked repeating my words, bear with it." Youi almost rolled her eyes as they sat on the field's benches.
This lady with her is surely being a freaking entitled human.
Oh wait—she isn't human nor near human after all.
She is approved for the thought of being self-entitled. She isn't meant to be adored, nor admired like a human being. She is supposed to be devoted by humans.
She should be devoted by humans.
All her ungodly features were enough for humans to tell that she is indeed not just a human after all however, humans are irrationally rational.
They think with their heart and love with their mind. They think of something depending on how they feel towards it. They love something depending on the idea of it.
People, humans get fond of something because of the ideality of a person and not by what they do to be the subject of fondness.
"Psh, peasants." Hades uttered with the most disgust as she saw a couple eat each other's face just a few meters away from her place.
How come these beings are so fond of expressing their feelings by physical activities?
Shouldn't they treat and claim their partner with utmost respect?
Shouldn't they claim and bear their partner behind the eyes of many?
What a shame?!
"Oh God, dear God. Why must peasants be the most loved yet ungrateful beings?" Hades asked lowly.
She's confused on how the Gods above the Olympus have doted their care, respect, and fondness towards these humans who doesn't even have the decency to claim in private?
"Father, Mother, why do you care for these peasant? Are they worthy enough of your time?" Hades asked, not expecting any answer from both of her parents.
My child, these humans does the deed…a lot of deeds for us. They treat us how we are supposed to be treated. They devote to us and suffer in their own nature. Never question them, my child for they are the reason why we're still superior.
Hades' eyes flew wide in shock as her mother answered her questions. Her mother who was too busy to even spare a glance on her. Her mother who was too prideful to even hold her hand as a toddler.
"M—Mother…" Never did she show other expression that hate, anger, and disgust yet at this moment, she did her very best to stop the tears that are threatening to fall.
Never did her mother cradle her in those arms that are to give her warmth but now she answered to her silly question.
I am always here, my child. You bear my mind, the wit of a Goddess that shred golden blood. Never hesitate, never be a coward. I may not have loved you but I have been always doted and devoted to you.
"A—Athena…" She blinked rapidly to stop the tears from falling.
No tears shall be shed for a Goddess. They deserve nothing but devotion and offerings. Hades chanted inside her mind.
It was taught to her by her very own patriarch, Hades himself. The helmed man had always focused on her if he wasn't busy with his wife's pleas and requests.
She is not utterly fond of her step mother for keeping her human mother in a room inside the big palace of her father. She is not also fond of her step mother for forbidding her real mother, Athena, to ever step a foot inside the palace of her father.
They kept a very civilized relationship, not bothering to call each other with respectful words. Hades, her father, had to put his wife and his child away from each other every time his wife stays with him for the two will surely cut each other's throat.
Hades, the child, however is so good with her patience and self-control to not just snap the woman. After all, they were cousins and she believes that family is not to be hurt by her own but to be devoted as such.
"Oh how lucky you are, step mother. I am devoted towards my family although I never experienced one."
