A/N: hellloooo~
So this is a continuation of "talk~ shinwon" if you haven't read it I would highly go do that! But it doesn't reaaallllyyyy have to do anything with this part of the story except they're the same people.
But show some love to my other stories okay 😅😅
Y/n POV:
"Hello shoppers!" A soft voice waves through the intercom, buzzing in my ears. "The store will be closing in about 20 minutes. So please wrap up your shopping and make your way to the registers! Thank you!"
*click*
Shinwon snickers, his shoulders bouncing upwards once, "I say we stay after hours and see what it's like."
I roll my eyes, used to Shiwon's extremely dumb—yet intriguing ideas. My focus is on the rows of aisles up ahead, scanning the signs above for any tell of where the ramen would be. I've been going to the same store my entire life, but I can never remember where anything is. Muscle memory, at some point, should hopefully kick in.
"Shinwon—no offense, but you'd be the last person I'd want to sneak inside of a store with."
"HEY I'M YOUR BOYFRIEND YOU KNOW!!" Shinwon gasps, quickly turning his head to reveal his slightly hurt face to me—eyes wide behind his mask and hands stuffed into his baggy pants.
I quickly hop up on my toes to kiss him on the cheek, "which is why I can make fun of you like this~" I tease, then go back to facing forward. Shinwon sulks his shoulders downward but continues walking with me, making somewhat of a scene. Shinwon isn't of an average height, so when he does anything even a little out of the originary...it's amplified by ten.
Refusing to acknowledge his sulkiness, I stop in my tracks and survey the layout of the store, trying my best to use what little directional skills I have to lead us walking down the correct aisle.
"Okay so...if the frozen stuff is over there...and the chips are right here...the ramen should be on our left. SHINWON I DID IT! I-" I celebrate to myself, starting to jump and down and hitting the empty air next to me—where Shinwon was once standing.
A small wave of terror washes over me. Yes, Shinwon 's a full grown man; but that doesn't mean he won't do anything dumb in the middle of the store. "Shinwon? Shinwon! SHINWON! Oh my gosh not again..." I curse, squeezing the bridge of my nose. Shinwon has run away many, many times—and all of them have either led us to getting kicked out of the store, or banned for at least a week.
My legs hurriedly run across the limonium flooring, head on a swivel—frantically searching down each aisle. Wind rushes past my face, tears ducts starting to water in response. I pass the chips aisle—the soda aisle—and skrt to a sudden stop with my heels digging into the floor. There he was, standing silently, hands by his side, and marveling at the Tipco orange juice—as if they were crowned jewels rested upon a silk pillow.
I shake my head—mentally face palming myself for not thinking he'd be here sooner. Without much effort, I'm able to walk across the other side of the aisle, and deliver a good smack to the back of the head.
Shinwon sparastically shoots his arms up in response, waving them wildly to defend from any other blows. A few moments of wild waving pass before he realizes it was a one-and-done type of thing.
"What was that for?!"
"Running away and making me worry that you are going to get us kicked out of another store!"
"Pfft. Me? I would never..." Shinwon says sarcastically before turning on his heels to face the end of the aisle—slow and stealthy—-and races down the hallway like a cheetah hunting prey. Expectant, my legs immediately follow him—closing the distance between the two of us. A couple of ladies hug their children close to their sides and trash talk us with their eyes, probably cursing at us for acting like children.
For the second I've turned my eyes away, Shinwon disappears from directly in front of me. I run to a slow stop. My heart thumps in my chest as I gasp for air, and scan the rest of the store like an eagle. We started off in the grocery section, but now we're all the way to the technology and video games—and I have no idea where Shinwon could possibly be.
My arms flop to my side in defeat. Heck, if I could barely get to the ramen section based on memory, how was I going to navigate the entire store quick enough to find Shinwon AND keep him out of trouble? It was a problem bigger than me. And hey. If you can't beat em' join em'.
I confidently strut over to a man behind the blue counter of the technology center, wearing a blue vest matching the counter. He looks at me with pretty brown eyes and shiny brown hair, "how may I help you?"
"Hi! Have you seen a man tall, brown hair, black headband, wearing baggy clothing?"
"The one you were chasing earlier?"
I pause in embarrassment, feeling like someone walked in on me changing. "Yes, yes that would be him."
The man nods—more of noticing my embarrassment than confirming my speculation. His hand travels to his hip, and snaps a Walkie-Talkie "Hey we're looking for a tall man with brown hair and a head band—who appears to be—"
Before the man finishes the rest of his sentence, his gaze travels further down the aisle behind me, out of my vision. My eyebrows furrow a bit, thinking he's just distracted by another co-worker or customer or something of that sort. But then, the man turns to me, and nods his head in the direction his looking—eyes still bulging wide. I blink innocently in response before turning to see the horror behind me.
Shinwon, speeding down the aisle, on a little girls bike—helmet and everything.
My jaw drops and my knuckles go white against the blue countertop. This, is exactly what I was talking about. I left Shinwon alone for maybe two minutes and now he's literally speeding aisle to aisle on a little girls bike—a big clown-like smile spreading across his face as he belts a loud, "WHOOO HOOO!!"
Reluctantly, I painfully turn to the man, head aimed towards the floor. "Th-that's my boyfriend..."
The man snickers and slightly smiles with the quickest flash of teeth. "He seems like quite a riot."
I pick my head up, and when I do, the man has his phone between his hands, smiling behind the camera and whispering, "this is going on YouTube" to himself. I roll my eyes and pretend I don't see it. Besides, if the video goes viral, maybe I'll start recording all of Shinwon's shenanigans.
"I'll say!" I joke, leaning against the countertops as we both watch Shinwon pop a wheelie on the bike. The glitter from the handle bars glistening while the streamers wisp away in the winds the bike is causing. Not much after that, Shinwon speeds in front of me, sharply looking my way when he passes—and flicking me off.
"SHINWON I SWEAR I'LL—" I scream down the aisle, feeling the disapproving shake of the guy's head behind me.
I turn around, beat a steady, light beat on the counter tops, and run backwards away from the countertop. The man waves his hand goodbye and smiles.
"Duty calls!" I say, then run off to try and catch Shinwon.
"AYE SHINWON WHERE'D YOU GET THAT I WANT ONE!!!"
