Let's take you away to a train ride by the sea side. Hey that rhymed! Next two chapters kinda happen simultaneously in different locations btw.
Through the tunnels and over the hills across the bridges and by the sea side this is where the train goes from town to town no one is certain where it will take them. In one of the cars only a man and old woman sitting right across from one another staring at the view as it passes quickly out of view. And back into another tunnel filled with darknest. As the light disappears the man hears a faint voice.
"Mommy look at the train!!! It's so pretty I bet it can even reach the stars." a little boy said while standing in a train station.
"That's right it can reach the stars. At least the new shiny silver train coming in. but whatever you do never take it, ok? Or else once you return everything will have changed." the young woman whispered.
"You're scaring me mommy." the boy said.
"Sorry baby" the two walk off into a flash of light."We finally get to see the ocean. The view is lovely by the sea side. It's much better than the dark tunnels, isn't it my dear '" a elderly woman says to a tall lengthy man in glasses dressed in suit and tie looking with a book in his lap.
"Uh yes mam' it truly is. There's only cumulus clouds in the sky not to mention it is a very lovely shade of celeste blue and the birds are in tune not to mention..." he pauses "sorry mam'."
"You must be an intellectual type I would guess, I haven't met someone like you in milenia and so young when you're older you'll be a catch and i bet you'd have a good one too." she winked
"Logan. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Well logan my name is Mabel and the pleasure is all mine. May I ask what you're reading." Logan looked back down at his book rereading his previous paragraph.
"Beauty of the stars it's a book on astronomy not entirely scientific, but from what I've read it's a good read nonetheless."
"How lovely you know..."
The conversation continued till they reached the first station, but neither had any intention of leaving.
"May I ask you destination Mabel?" Logan asked, not wanting the conversation to end. He liked talking to his elders when they would listen since the ones who did would always make some of the most brilliant of points or others would help him with his current task at hand or lastly and his favorite type would make him feel again. Whether it was happy, sad or completely furious it was a feeling and that was some feat.
"Honey-Rose Parlor in the kingston district of Hayward. A long time ago it was all the rage. There were all sorts of biscuits and occasionally they would have truffles or liquor in store and my friends and I would get a taste. I would like to see it once again, not to mention to visit my friends while they're still with us." Mabel said sweetly, grabbing a butterscotch cookie from a tin in her bag.
"Well that's lovely funny that is since I should be off at the same stop." Logan replies Mabel had him feel nostalgic and warm he wished more people were like her. She seemed kind and gave off a fuzzy fluffy atmosphere. For some reason he always liked these types of people the best and couldn't get enough of their stories if he could.
"Oh? Well then we have quite a long trip ahead together may I ask why you are there my dear?" she said sweetly.
"Well I'm heading to the same town as you however for reasons somewhat different to you. You see I lived in Hayward for most of my childhood and sadly left, but now I'm hoping to come back. I'm a journalist and professor of astronomy you see and when I heard they were hiring an astronomy teacher in my home town I had to go, but it's quite nice to settle down for a bit. So I guest to simplify for employment reasons and the homely aspects." Logan said sound a fair bit more passionate than the other topics they'd discussed earlier.
"Oh would you be working at Mount' Rocher's University when I was younger..." This was the fifth time she delved into a long, long story, but Logan didn't mind he actually quite enjoyed the stories of 'the good old days I always so interesting to listen to others stories because they thought this moment in their life was memorable enough to tell once more long after it had happened interesting enough for another who was not there to tell and they'll enjoy it still. And for most it was completely true, but then again Logan was most fascinated by everything and every story told had always filled his eyes with wonder whether or not they were happy or sad he loved stories especially the one based on truths.
