"I know this really good ice cream shop down the street," Ryujin said.

"Then let's go there!" Yeji exclaimed. Ryujin was exploding with happiness on the inside. This was the first step to asking her out.

They exited the restaurant and got into Yeji's car.

"Let's go!" Yeji yelled, sticking her arm out of the window and waving her hand in the air.

"Yeji ah, don't do that! It's dangerous!" Ryujin yelled. The older girl quickly pulled her arm back to herself before winding up the window.

"It's here!" Ryujin turned the engine off after parking the car in front of the shop. "It's pretty in there, isn't it?" the younger said as Yeji alighted.

"I love the fairy lights! Let's go in! I want my ice cream and my pictures taken!" Yeji squealed and pulled Ryujin in.

As Yeji decided on her flavours, Ryujin noticed that there was no one at the counter. So, she ringed the bell at the front. A familiar figure walked out from the small room at the back.

"Ryeong? What are you doing here?" Ryujin asked, surprised.

"Before I answer that, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be home by now. And why didn't you check your phone?" Chaeryeong huffed. Ryujin hurriedly pulled her phone out from her pocket.

"I'm sorry, Chae. I went to check out this dance studio your sister offered to us with Yeji-"

"You mean the Yeji you like?" Chaeryeong blurted out and Ryujin told her to keep her voice down in a hushed voice.

With a red face, Ryujin replied, "Yes. But please don't tell her. I'm waiting to ask her when i'm ready. Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be at home?"

"Yena Unnie had something to do so I offered to take her shift tonight. It ends at 10 but you can leave first," Chaeryeong said, drumming her fingers on the counter.

"Also, you're really into calling me 'darling' now, aren't you?" Ryujin teased as she felt Yeji tug on her sleeve.

"Shut up, monkey. I was worried," Chaeryeong snapped and immediately turned to Yeji to take her order.

"Thank you," Yeji said and grabbed her ice cream before skipping to a seat. Ryujin paid hurried to Yeji.

Chaeryeong sighed and sat on the high chair behind the counter. She saw how Ryujin looked at Yeji and she smiled softly. Ryujin looked so, so happy with her.

She enjoyed her date with Yeji so much that she didn't even check my messages even when I called her 'darling'.

With a forced smile, Chaeryeong returned to the back room and pulled an indigo hoodie that belonged to Ryujin over her head. She snuggled into the corner of the room on her chair and scrolled through Instagram.
