Chaeryeong groaned. She felt a ray of sunlight hit her face and she scrunched her nose. She turned and felt a certain warmth on her cheek. Forcing her eyes open, she spotted a familiar checkered pattern."Morning, darling," Ryujin husked. Chaeryeong felt goosebumps rise on her skin as she felt Ryujin's hot breath on her face.
Oh my god what did I do last night? It's the second time this happened.
Ryujin hugged Chaeryeong before getting up and stretching.
"Do you want me to make breakfast today?" Ryujin asked.
"Why bother? Let's just stay here and sleep," Chaeryeong mumbled, her hand tapping the empty spot beside her blindly in an attempt to get a pillow.
"You're really tired, aren't you?" Ryujin asked softly, sitting down as Chaeryeong curled under the blanket. "I'll go get something for myself then come back. You can sleep and I can watch my movie," she continued before leaving the room.
Ryujin smiled to herself as she placed two pieces of bread into the toaster. Recently, she has been more protective of Chaeryeong. She would unknowingly get worried over her and start panicking a little when Chaeryeong ignores her. Especially when she wasn't home by 10:30pm. Sometimes, she would think about the possibility of her having a crush on Chaeryeong but would often brush it off. After all, she was on the right track to Yeji's heart.
Ryujin cracked an egg and grabbed a pair of chopsticks. Quickly, she placed two slices of ham onto the pan and assembled a ham and egg sandwich before heading into her room.
Chaeryeong was sitting up, her blanket around her neck.
"You're awake!" Ryujin exclaimed, sitting down on her spot on the bed.
"Are you eating on our bed?" Chaeryeong asked, horrified. Ryujin nodded, her mouth stuffed with bread. The younger girl winced at the sight of a little grease on the edge of Ryujin's lips and grabbed the pack of tissue on the bedside table before throwing it to her. Ryujin whined but wiped her mouth clean before grabbing the tv controller.
"Do you want to watch Start Up?" Ryujin asked, flipping through the dramas on Netflix. Chaeryeong hummed in agreement.
"Hey, Ryu?" Chaeryeong asks when they finished the third episode. Ryujin nodded to acknowledge her. "What would your ideal date be?" she questioned.
Ryujin gasped. "Did Yeji ask you to ask me so she fan prepare for our first date?" She asked, her eyes shining.
"You are so in love," Chaeryeong mumbled bitterly.
"I know. But did she?"
"Obviously, no," Chaeryeong deadpanned.
"Dang it. But anyway, my ideal date would be under the stars. Maybe a midnight snack while watching the stars with Yeji," Ryujin said, her smile growing.
You're so pretty. Yeji's lucky.
"What about you?" The older smirked.
"Ice skating. Outdoor during winter. Probably at night too," Chaeryeong thought aloud.
"That's cool!" Ryujin exclaimed loudly, making the younger girl flinch. After that, they kept quiet and continued with their drama.
However, the silence was comfortable and chaeryeong laid her head on Ryujin's shoulder while the latter placed an arm around her.
When they finally reached the thirteenth episode, Ryujin got up and checked her phone.
