Amanda couldn't believe her ears, she thinks there is no way Jayson could be nice to her any were.
But Jayson actually meant what he said, he was willing to give up insulting her if shed stop acting like she was acting now
" the clock is ticking darling" Jayson raised an eye brow at her
" fine, I'll stop bitching about you being my partner " Amanda confessed looking up at Jayson
Giving her a smile Amanda felt her heart skip a beat, she would have never thought Jayson would be mature enough to call off his insults for his grades
" tell me something Amanda " Jayson exhaled taking a seat next to her " your friend Mandy"
Cringing a little Amanda eyebrows ground up in a questionably look " yeah, what about her?"
" is she... you know committed? "
" committed " Amanda repeated still looking lost
" I mean if she has a boyfriend?"
Amanda heart felt like it stopped beating right then and there.
She thought about the question and wanted to ask why he wanted to know.
She wanted to ask him if he liked her, but she didn't want to sound crazy for butting into his business
" I dont know?" Amanda said with a little attitude in her voice. She knew she could of controlled her emotions but it was too much for her
" how can you not know that, isn't she like your best friend or something?"
" nope, she not my best friend. She's just a friend that I'm close with" Amanda replied almost as if she was ready to snap
" okay, well can you ask her when you see her?"
And that was the last straw for Amanda, she couldn't take it any longer, she wanted to know why he's so interested in Mandy all of a sudden
" why?. Why are you 'so' interested in knowing if she taken or not!"
" why do you care as to why I am so interested?"
" I asked you a question First " Amanda scoffed
" no you asked something out a mere jealously expecting an answer your hoping I won't say"
" pssh, jealousy " Amanda scoffed with a chuckle " and why would I be jealous if you like Mandy?"
" I didn't say I liked Mandy, I asked if she was single. But the first thoughts that came in your head was that I liked her which made you jealous "
" I'm not jealous " Amanda looked over to Jayson in a more serious note
Amanda herself knew she was jealous, but the little jealously she felt was something that could be ignored for years.
" well then if your not jealous, ask her if she single" Jayson smirked
" fine, I'll ask her, but dont think I'll be your little connection between you and getting into my best friends pants" Amanda fired folding her amrs
" I thought you said she wasn't your best friend "
" she isn't, but she acts like a best friend and I won't let you play her like you do your other slut army"

Jayson has never had a one on one conversation with Amanda before. He didn't even know she was this interesting until now .

Chocking on saliva Amanda turned her head around to Jayson " if that's how you ask a girl if she has a boyfriend then your really psycho in the head"
" that's not an answer" Jayson replied raising an eye brow

The bell went off and this was the perfect definition of save by the bell to Amanda
" looks like time is up" Amanda smiled in an thank god formant as she quickly got up from the chair
" you didn't answer my question" Jayson smirked getting up from his chair
" ask me again tomorrow and maybe I'll tell you"
She then took up her bag walking out of the room with a smile on her face. of course she didn't know why she was Smiling, her face was just malfunctioning she thought.
While Amanda was already half way to her class Jayson was still in the detention room seated, this was the longest he has ever gone without insulting Amanda but it was also the first time they had ever really talked about something other than the project for chemistry.
