Chapter 26: Breathe

It is now late morning and I have decided to Iris message Reyna. I made the rainbow and tossed the drachma into it. "Please show me Reyna, daughter of Bellona, praetor or New Rome."

The rainbow shimmered and Reyna appeared on the screen. "Allie?" She asked. I nodded and said "I have some news for you." She urged me to go on.

"You may want to sit down for this." I said. She sat down in her praetors throne. "Octavion came to visit me. Then-then he killed himself." I stated as simply as I could. Her eyes widened. "Would you like his body to be taken back for burial?" I asked.

She stated "I'm not sure." That's understandable. "There's more," I continued with. "Henry is working for Thalassa, he was at her chambers." I stated. "What? How do you know of this?" Reyna asked urgently. I looked deep into her eyes to see if she would get the message. "Oh my gods..." she started.

Yup, she got the message alright. "Also, Dakota is working for her. He might even be possessed by her." I stated. Then, I told her of my dream about him last night. "Gwen was working with them, but she was the one who told me everything when I found her giving money to a traitor at this camp. Dakota found out and somehow 'got rid of her'." I stated.

Reyna hung her head low and shook her head with her eyes squeezed shut. "This is why you should be here. None of this would have happened." Reyna stated. "Yes it would have, Reyna. None of this was inevitable." I stated. "I called just to tell you the news that I have collected, nothing more than that. Is there anything I should know from Camp Jupiter?"

"Yes." She stated. I urged her forward. "We are coming to help." She said with a smirk. I smiled in return and said "When should we expect you here?"

"Sometime later this week. I will message you later on with the details. But now that you have told me all of that, I have a reason to come help you guys out along with the rest of the Romans." Reyna stated.

"So thank you." Reyna concluded. I nodded. "Goodbye." She stated. "Bye." I said.

Then she swiped her hand through the message. Finally, she saw the truth. She saw that they are just like us. I stood up and walked back to the room where I was first brought to when I came here. I had Iris-messages Reyna from my old room. "What was he even doing here?" Annabeth asked the others. I sat on the couch next to Piper and said "He came to talk to me."

"Why?" Piper asked. "He said he wanted to reconcile with the people he hurt and that he realized what an idiot he was being." I stated. I heard Leo chuckle. I raised an eyebrow at him. "It's just that, really? Octavion, feeling bad about something? I mean come on..." Leo said.

"It was enough for him to kill himself, Leo." I stated. He shrunk back into his chair. "You guys didn't see it happen. I did. He was scared and lost and-and he needed help. He was upset that he didn't have any friends." I said.

"But when we got there, he was already dead." Thalia stated. "Why do you think I went there in the first place? I had a dream." I stated. Thalia's eyes widened with realization. Piper held my hand and have me a reassuring squeeze. "You just can't catch a break." She said quietly. I nodded.

"It's okay." I stated. They gave me uncertain glances. "I'm okay guys I promise." I said again. They dropped it and said "What did Reyna want us to do?" Percy asked. "She is coming to help us with the war." I stated. "Really?!" Jason said. I nodded. "Awesome." He said again "She said they would be here sometime later this week." I said again. They all nodded. "When will it start, do you think?" Annabeth asked me. "Once Dakota kills me and gives Thalassa my blood." I said. "WHAT?!" Percy exclaimed.

And so I explained last night. The dreams, the bushes, everything. "That kid is unbelievable." Jason said. I nodded. I didn't want to die. I can't die. Not yet. "But he won't get you. Now that we know what's going on we can have someone stay with you at all times." Hazel said.
