She stood at the edge of the room.
Outside looking in.
The light spilled into the dark room from the bright one behind her.
She stared into the deep places where the shadows still touched and realized that Fear stood before her on the other side of the doorway.
Standing in the dark, reaching his cold fingers out to touch her heart.
Fear  reached into the places where the deepest parts of her soul lay and torn them apart only to scatter them across the oblivion in a confusing jumbled mess.
This place that in the daylight looked so cheerful with it's large windows full of light and the comfy armchair that was such a cozy place to curl up in on a rainy day
Now shone only with dark secrets that ate at her heart as she stood in the doorway staring into the face of Fear.
She had been here a million times.
It was a place of comfort. Of love.
But now standing alone, everything shrouded in the darkness, Fear jumped on the carousel of her thoughts.
Her mind became a darker place then she ever remembered it being.
The world was drained of the joy that normally filled the place where she was told her heart went.

she flicked on the light switch

And as the room flooded with warm light.
She looked back over the thresold that moments ago had shone only Fear's ugly face.
Now it showed only the warm, comfortable room she knew.
Fear was gone.

Let in the Light.
