We are different.
Here's why:
Your heart is full of beautiful notes in beautiful patterns
Intervals and chords
Arpeggios and scales
Sounding in a beautiful symphony
With depth and feeling and love.
Your heart is pages of carefully written music
With harmonies that take a hundred people to sing.
Your heart is full of exquisite music.
My heart is a single broken note
Full of sour twinges and voice cracks.
With depth and feeling and love
That only I can hear.
My heart is the violin that is out of tune,
Or the voice that is hoarse.
My heart is not even music compared to yours.
And we are so different I can't believe that you ever noticed me.
Much less loved me.
But you make me sound so beautiful.
