Chapter 11

Nama and Roho stayed towards the back of the group. Nama had a horrible feeling deep down inside her. She had a horrible feeling that this pride was going to be bigger and stronger than them.

"What's wrong?" Roho asked.

Nama looked up at him.

"I think we're going to need back up." Nama explained in a hushed whisper.

"What, why?" He wondered curiously.

"That pride is probably larger than ours. We need to get back up." Nama repeated. An idea flew through her mind. "Your old pride! We could ask them to help." Nama offered the idea.

"Nama... I'm not welcome there anymore, remember?" Roho reminded.

"Maybe things have changed." Nama argued.

Roho looked at the rest of the group ahead, then looking behind them. He sighed and rolled his eyes.

"We are going to get in trouble." He muttered through clenched teeth.

"Thank you!" She whispered, running her head under his snout before they ran off.

The two ran as fast as their legs could carry them towards the South Pride.

Baridi and Nala had led the cubs to the spot secluded inside the tree.

"Stay here until one of us come to get you, okay?" Nala told them.

"Yes grandma." Asha answered for the group.

"Remember, stay silent." Nala reminded.

Baridi and Nala walked off.

"Thanks for your help, Baridi. You are a very brave lioness to come all the way to the Pridelands and then stay away from your pride for so long." Nala thanked. "By the way, why haven't you returned?" Nala questioned.

Baridi rolled her eyes, annoyed.

"I just don't want anything to happen to those... sweet cubs." She muttered.

"What was your cub's name?" Nala smiled as the two walked towards a stream.

"What... oh, well, you see, Nala... there is no name." Baridi said, stopping to face Nala.
