Rhys POV

I charged once again at Laura, but this time my burned arms couldn't hold out.  Like a fool, I had underestimated her. She was literally war itself. I couldn't fight that. However, if I don't I will let my people down. Az and Cas were shouting at me, but all I heard was the flaming voice of Laura as she whispered in my ear: "You can't win this, Lord, so stop trying." She pushed me away and then in a loud voice she announced to all the Fae and golden soldiers. "In a single flick of a finger, this city will be enveloped by flames. The Inner circle has 3 minutes to get up here. If they don't, they can say goodbye to the beautiful Velaris forever.

Feyre POV

I panicked. I caught Azriel and Cassian flying down for Nesta and Elain. So I went to get Amren. Flying as fast as I could I counted down the seconds. I swore beneath my breath, frustrated. Where was she? I was flying right above the ground. There was no sound in the streets but for the crackling of the fire. "2 minutes." Laura said. I yelled out Amren's name. At that moment I heard her voice yell out. I looked around trying to find its source when I noticed she was right in front of me. "Holy shit Feyre slow down!" I slammed into her both of us falling on the ground. I didn't waste any time and flew her up to Laura where the others were.

Amren POV

My back ached from the fall but I ignored it. "Now that you're all here we can get started. The reason I want you up here is so that you have the first-class view of Velaris's destruction." Laura said with a strange thrill in her voice. Panic overcame me. "But you said you wouldn't do it," Feyre said. "War is all about lying to your enemy." Laura laughed. She raised a hand and...

"Laura!" a voice yelled from the ground.

A beautiful Fae was standing there. She was tall, blonde hair fell like a waterfall to her slim waist. It was decorated in silver and blue jewels. She was wearing a flowing turquoise dress that outlined her waist and barely covered her chest. Eyes like shards of ice and skin as white as snow. She approached the firewall. It made me uneasy to see how close the fae came to it. However, she didn't seem to be affected by it at all. She simply blew on it with her blue lips and the wall turned to ice and then shattered. We all lowered to the ground including Laura.

"Hello Asentha," she growled, "Finally came out of that cowardly cover of yours?"

The woman, Asentha I assumed, just smiled and said in a quiet, peaceful voice: "I see you definitely have. Already destroying cities are you?"

"Let us stop this little fight. Why are you here?"

"It's time Laura."
