Chapter 19

"Ma'am Yara this is your coffee po."

"Thank you, Maecy. Maupo ka na lang you don't need to serve me here." Pinaupo ko sya sa tabi ko. It's eight in the morning na at si Maecy na lang ang pumunta dito. Mamaya pa kase yung ibang employees after office hours dahil need din nilang gawin yung trabaho nila. "Wala ba kong schedule meetings for this week? If meron cancel all of it and move it next week or so."

She nodded at me and after having my coffee, we both prepare breakfast for Dy and his family. Kami-kami lang ang nandito dahil mamayang gabi pa talaga magsisidatingan ang mga bisita para makiramay.

"Hey, let's eat?" He just nodded. " Tita, kain po muna kayo. You have to eat to gain your strength." I smiled at her but she refuse to eat. Kagabi pa sya hindi kumakain. Kaya umupo ako sa tabi nya to hold her hand. "Tito wouldn't be happy if he saw you at this state. You have to eat, Tita. Please?" She just wiped her tears and smiled at me.

"Thank you, hija. For being here as always kahit malaki yung kasalanan ng anak ko sayo nandito ka pa rin to help us." I smiled at her to assure her that it is okay.

Inalalayan ko na sya sa dining area to eat. Kaunti lang ang kinain nya at agad ding bumalik sa upuan nya kanina. Sa harap ng kabaong ni Tito.

"Eat more. By the way, I called your secretary to cancel all your schedules for the whole month. Some of your schedule will be given to me so that you can focus on your family."

"Thank you." He held my hand and squeeze it a little. I smiled back.

"Excuse me ma'am, the groceries are here."

Tumayo ako at nireceive ang mga binili kong pagkain mamaya para sa mga bibisita. I just ordered it online.

"Thank you!" I sign the receipt at pinasok ko na sa loob lahat.

Simple snacks lang naman ang binili ko and a lots of coffee. Dahil for sure matinding puyatan na naman 'to.

Inaarrange ko na lang yun lahat sa table at nag-order ng mga food para sa bisita mamaya so that they can eat dinner here na din.

Nagpaalam muna ako saglit kila Tita para pumunta sa condo to take a shower and kumuha ng ilang damit para if ever na need ko pumunta sa mga meetings ay prepared ako.

Nasa parking lot pa lang ako ay may nakabunggo na ko kaya nahulog ang bag ko. Pinulot ko pa muna isa-isa at tumayo ng ayos.

"Oh hey, I'm sorry. It's you pala. Btw, I went to your condo a bit earlier to invite you next week."

Tumayo ako ng mapulot ko lahat at pinagpagan ang damit ko.

"Next week?" I fix my eyeglasses and look straightly to him.

"Yeah, I'm having a welcome party at work. And just wanted to invite you over if that's okay?" He scratched his nose. I know his nervous about it.

"Sure. Send me the details." I waved my phone and smile at him. Naglakad na ako para pumunta sa elevator dahil ligong-ligo na ko.

"Hey, wait!" Hinabol nya pa ako sa may elevator. Kaming dalawa lang actually sa loob dahil masyado pang maaga.

"Ay sorry. Paakyat ka din pala?"

"Ah yeah kukuha ako ng gamit."

Medyo lumayo ako sa kanya at inamoy ang sarili ko. Shocks di pa ko naliligo.

Nang makababa na sya ay hinintay ko na umakyat ang elevator sa floor ko. Nagtatakbo pa ko papunta sa unit ko dahil kanina pa ko nanlalagkit.

Nagbabad muna ako sa bath tub para malinis ng todo ang katawan ko and magrelax for a while.
