I woke up to Darcy staring at me through the soul as per usual, she really did love Christmas. "Darcy stop it, one day I'm not waking up because I'm dead of that" it's no place to joke about death but still felt like it fit.
I stared at the tree behind the dorm door.
Darcy smiled, "merry Christmas?"

Callum helped Rayla out the truck when they got back and Ezran's eyes opened wide, "she was meant to be put in a big box for Christmas but yeah sure that works well too" which isn't a reply you hear everyday.
Rayla stared at the huge home. "So this is what 2 years of working gets you to?" She looked up at the chandelier
"Uh no, this was Ezran's left over money since he was next in line for king..." Callum had always felt guilty for using the riches of someone else, especially if their dead.
Rayla walked over to me and got close to my face, "I have one hell of an adventure to tell you"
