So This Is Love...

Chapter 3 || Hydra attack & The Howling Commandos

As Steve and I were walking, we were wanting to find the road that leads to the Hydra facility, it was a long walk but it was quite nice not having to have all the papers or files. Especially hearing Phillips rant on about how poor of a job Peggy and I are doing, but overall I love working for him.

"So what's the plan once we get there?" I asked Steve.

He took a breath, "I have a plan in mind, just wondering if you could handle it and go along with it."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked looking over to him.

He chuckled, "take it easy Miranda, I'm just fooling around."

"Yeah like I haven't heard that one before," I sarcastically said.

As we continued on walking, I kept getting stared at from him, and when I looked at him he looked away, "what?"

"Nothing."

"Steve, what is it."

He sighed, "what's the deal with you and Howard? He's been flirting with you and have been staring at you non stop, is there something going on between you two?"

"Aww is someone jealous?" I asked smirking.

He hesitated, "n-no I just think that—"

We heard multiple vehicles nearby, Steve ran and I followed him, as we had gotten close Steve ran up to the last Hydra truck. Both of us got inside, both of the guards looked at us.

"Fellas," Steve greeted.

"Gentlemen."

Suddenly Steve and I attack them taking their guns, "ah!"

As he throws their bodies out of the truck, we stared at each other breathing heavily, "you're really good at this, you sure you want to tag along?"

"Why wouldn't I? I'm kicking ass right?" I said with a smile.

He smiled back until we had gotten to the facility, we got out and I watched as Steve stole one of the blue cartridges, I looked at him turning him to me as I had grabbed his shoulder, "what are you doing with that?"

"I have a plan."

As he walked away I rolled my eyes at annoyance but continued on with the plan, we both ended up in one part of the factory by seeing some of the American soldiers that were captured.

Steve knelt down as of I, "who are you supposed to be?"

"I'm—Captain America," Steve responds taking a breath.

"I beg your pardon?" The other man asked.

We had unlocked every cell of the prisoners that were captured, we reached their level and approached them, he looks around confused, "what, are we taking everybody?"

Morita took out his dog tags, "I'm from Fresno, Ace."

We walked up, "is there anybody else? We're looking for a Sergeant James Barnes."

"There's an isolation ward in the factory, but no one's ever come back from it," James Montgomery Falsworth said.

Steve nodded and so did I looking at everyone of them, some of them were even eyeing me and smirking at me, I gave a grossed out look to seem like I wasn't interested. Which I wasn't, "all right, the tree line is northwest, eighty yards past the gate. Get out fast and give 'em hell, I'll meet you guys in the clearing with anybody else I find."

"Wait! You know what you're doin?" Gabe Jones asked.

As Steve and I were about to run out, we got stopped by hearing what Gabe had said, Steve nodded, "yeah, I've knocked out Adolf Hitler over two hundred times."
