BAKE:Cooking by dry heat without exposure to flames typically in an oven.
WHISK:Beat or stir with a light,rapid movement.
BEAT:Stir vigorously to make a smooth or frothly mixture.
CUT&FOLD:To blend or mix mixtures together using a spoon.
DOCKING:Poking holes in the dough to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
CUTTING IN:Mixing fat such as batter or lard with a dry ingredient such as flour until it forms particles of fat that are covered with dry ingredients.
BATTER:A mixture of flour and liquids with other ingredients.
KNEAD:Work into dough or paste by using the hands.
BASTE:To pour fat or juices over the food in order to keep it moist.
MOLD:Shaping the food usually by putting it in molders.
GLAZE:To drizzle a sweet or savoury substance onto the baked product with a pastry brush to give a glisten effect to pastries.NB:These recipes have been simplified to suit all ages.It can be a baking guide for all age groups.
