chapter 11 (pregame)

~like i said in the end of the last chapter, time passed and Kaito introduced Kokichi to animes and games including Danganronpa. And they're going to a danganronpa event so. Yep.

Kaito pov

While me and Kokichi were on our way we talked about different things but mostly danganronpa. I noticed that he was excited even tho he seemed to dislike danganronpa for how brutal it is.... Though the characters are fictional.

His parents were sent to prison after we told the principal about all the abuse and stuff. So he's safe

Though... It warmed my heart seeing him getting better. He's now what he always wanted to be... He's now... Happy...

Me and Kokichi finally arrived there, i stroked his hair gently and he blushed at it which looked pretty cute. Though i noticed he tried to hide from me the fact that he's blushing

"Heyyy now don't be shy!" I teased him "I- i'm not!" He answered back and honestly he was terrible at lying. Which was good for me since i don't want him to hide something else from me.

As soon as we entered i noticed someone that i wish I didn't realize he was around us.

"Oh for fuck sake. Of course the creep will be here." Kokichi looked at where i was looking. "U- um... Hey Kaito..? That's just our classmate....! Shuichi" he answered and i obviously understood his point of view. "Oh. So you don't know much about him huh?" I told him then dragged him by his wrist to a place were Shuichi couldn't notice us.

I whispered to Kokichi's ear "He's obsessed with danganronpa and he wants to be in the 53rd season of danganronpa and he wants to make a murder and get away with it. Not to mention he's obviously the type of person who would rape someone he doesn't even know." I could see a surprised expression on Kokichi's face, so i decided to comfort him "hey, it's okay tho, i'm here for you, i'm not gonna leave!"

Kokichi nodded as a response, the stage's lights finally lit up and when the curtains were raised we noticed it was in the form of a class trial ground. The voice actors were cosplaying the characters they voice acted. As i noticed how excited Kokichi became i placed my arm around him and made him closer to me, then i gave him a warming smile. Kokichi looked at me then smiled back

"Hey! focus on them now" i said pointing at the voice actors, he did as i told him.

~TIME SKIP BABY BECAUSE I'M LAZY

KOKICHI POV

The event ended and we were outside, We were going to go home but suddenly Kaito's phone interrupted, someone was calling him "oh, sorry Kokichi one second, it's one of my old friends before i moved towns" he said then answered his phone while moving farther from me, which i respect since i need to give them privacy...-

"Hey, aren't you my classmate?" Someone behind me asked. Which i knew who it was. When i turned around my heart skipped two beats, "y- yeah... I am.." i said backing away.

"I didn't know you liked danganronpa, you should've told me! We're going to get along really well!" He said, honestly he seemed like a nice guy... Was Kaito just jealous i would like Shuichi more than him...? "U- um... I wasn't a fan of it for a long time tho... I just got into it around a few months..." I told him trying to make him lose interest in me.

"You finished all the 52 seasons in just two months!? That's amazing! that shows how much you are into it" he told me, i don't really know how to interact with people... Especially with ones that i should be aware with.

"Hey, can i talk to you for a second? Like, only you and me?" Someone came and asked me, when i looked at who it is, i figured out it's one of my other classmates, Kiibo.

"I'm talking to him rightnow, what do you want?" Shuichi said in an annoyed tone

"None of your business" Kiibo said then grabbed me by my wrist and dragged me to the bathroom, Kaito was there too, he was still talking to his friend. Kiibo whispered to me "look, whatever happens avoid hanging out with Shuichi. He's dangerous. If you want to know why exactly, this goddamn psycho wants to join the 53rd killing game and win it by killing someone and getting away with it. He said it himself, there's also a rumor that he's into sex and would rape whoever he feels like would be a good boyfriend or girlfriend for him." He said, so what Kaito said is true... I nodded

"I- i knew all of that i just didn't know how to get away from him after he already encountered me" i told Kiibo "i'm sorry, one second dude." Kaito said through his phone then looked at us "Did Shuichi encounter you?" I nodded as a response to Kaito's question, he sighed heavily "If you're wondering why Shuichi was annoyed by me, we have a pretty bad reputation together. So.. yeah" Kiibo told me "Thank you for dragging him away from Shuichi, Kiibo" Kaito told Kiibo "No problem! Warning others from him became like a part of my job." Kiibo said as he smiled at us then left

"Hey i'm sorry man but i'm not home rightnow, can i talk to you when i get home?" Kaito told his friend, i waited for him to say bye to his friend.. and there he finally said it, i had a feeling that Kaito was mad, i looked away and closed my eyes in fear

"W- why are you scared!?" He asked me, i looked at him "u- um..." I couldn't say anything i just looked away right after. "You gave me the same look you always did when i used to beat you up, hey, i'm not going to do it again." He told me as he hugged me, i slowly hugged back "S- sorry!" I said "What're you apologizing for?" He asked me. "for letting Shuichi encounter me and giving you that look... And also making you hang up the phone while you wanted to talk to your friend..." I answered.

Kaito got out of the hug and kissed my forehead, "hey, you didn't bother me, i was annoyed that Shuichi tried to get closer to you, trust me, if he wants to get closer to a certain someone then he's up to no good." He told me, then held my hand, "let's go home now." He told me and i nodded.

We got home and we changed, Kaito talked to his friend and in the middle the phone Kaito bought for me finally arrived. His older sister raised her voice so we can hear her "Hey! Kokichi! Your first ever phone has arrived~ !" She finished it in a singsong tone. I hurried downstairs in excitement "careful" Kaito's grandfather told me and i nodded.

"What're you waiting for? Let's unbox it!" His other sister told me, "u- um... Can we wait for Kaito to finish his voice call and come here..?" I asked "oh, it's always Kaito the Fun-killer." His older sister said jokingly then laughed, "Who're you calling a Fun-killer, Fun-killer?" Kaito said as he came downstairs. we finally unboxed the phone and i was happy to get my first ever phone, sure it took me 16 years... But I'm still glad.

Kaito didn't lie when he told me that i'll love being here, he's right... I would've never found a better family, and i'm glad this is my new home. I really am glad...
