I wander through the corridors, people beginning to file to their next lesson, my black shoulder bag hitting my side with every step. My headphones playing 'Ultraviolence', my eyes wanting to shut from the previous nights lack of sleep. I open the door to my locker, putting in my combination swinging it open, turning the volume up on my headphones.
I pull out my Maths books, shoving them into my bag, shutting my locker afterwards, revealing Luke standing directly behind it, jumping a little as the door slams shut. I raise my eyebrows at him, confused why he is here, I take out one headphone signalling for him to speak,
"I heard you need a Maths tutor?" he asks, leaning up against the locker, his Green Day tshirt rolled up at the sleeves.
"Nope, I'm fine at Maths?" I put my headphone back in, walking past him. I sharply turn back around, stopping in my tracks, turning to face Luke calling after him, "Why are you living with my brother?"
He turns around with a smirk plastered across his face, "he needed somewhere to live," he retorts.
"He didn't need anywhere to live, he was living at home. With me." I huff, "he was perfectly fine with me."
"Obviously not," he shrugs, turning back around reaching a corner as he begins to turn left, I shout to him again.
"Why are you living without your parents if you haven't even graduated yet?"
"And you want to know why?" he asks, furrowing his eyebrows, rolling my eyes at him, and turning around in the direction of my class.
"Just nosy," I shout as I walk in the direction of the class.
I walk into Maths ten minutes late, which to be fair is earlier than usual, taking my usual seat at the far back in the first row, my teacher rolling his eyes as soon as I step in the room. "Should I even ask for a reason for being late Miss Westfall?"
I shake my head, taking my books out of my bag and almost throwing them down on my desk, them hitting the wood table with a small 'thud'. I swing into my chair, crossing one leg over my other, taking my pen from my pencil case which I left in my bag. Still bent over my bag, I lift my head making eye contact with Calum as he sits on the other side of the room, "Why where you late?" he mouths.
I sit up, making sure our teacher, Mr Foster, isn't looking before I mouth back, "I was talking to Luke," he sends me confused look, furrowing his eyebrows in the process. I mouth again "I was talking to Luke" just a lot slower this time, hoping he would understand, furrowing his eyebrows again, as I begin to start the sentence again, he interrupts me shaking his head.
"No no no," he mouths, "why were you talking to him?" he asks, mouthing the works again, making me giggle a little as Mr Foster interrupts him, grabbing my attention.
"Mr Hood! Please can you avoid getting deep into a conversation with Miss Westfall over here, she may be doing well in Maths, but you on the other hand, not so much," I let out a small laugh, shrugging as Cal looks over to me, putting his middle finger up as Mr Foster turns to the board.
Maths drags on as usual, finishing with Mr Foster wanting to talk to me afterwards, and a detention after school today. I sigh heading towards my locker once again, changing my books to English, before heading to lunch.

I walk to my car, Calum already leaning against the hood as I approach him. "Hood," I nod, smirking as I open the driver door, climbing in.
"West," he smirks back, opening the passenger door and swinging into the seat and shutting the door behind him.
I turn the nob on the radio up, playing Foster the People, I turn it back down slightly not crazy about the song, "how was your detention with Foster?" Cal asks, slightly turning his head to look at me, then returning his look to the windscreen.
