Third Person POV
Danny Fenton as usual was running late to his last class of the day, English with Mr. Lancer. He didn't mean to be late but there he was sprinting down the halls praying that he wouldn't be too late.
5 minutes later a heavy-breathing Danny burst into the classroom scaring everyone in the classroom who were either staring out the window, paying attention to Mr. Lancer, which was one or two people, or the rest of the kids with their notebooks out pretending to take notes but actually doodling.
"Lord of the Flies! Mr. Fenton, next time please just enter the room like a normal person. It would give me less chance of a heart attack," Lancer said to Danny. Over the years Danny had Lancer as a teacher, he tried harder in his classes and got mostly A's. Lancer had always had a soft spot for Danny so he would let him get away with being late as long as he gave in his work and got good grades.
"Sorry, Mr. Lancer," Danny said sheepishly.
"It's alright, just take a seat, I have some news to share with the class."
The class immediately turned their attention to Lancer hoping that his news would help them get out of having to do work. Danny was sure they all had whiplash. However, Dash and Valerie snickered at Danny's embarrassment as he sat down at the desk near them.
"Danny will there ever be a day where you aren't late to Lancer's class?" Valerie asked with a smirk.
"The only time that would happen is the last day of Senior year, and even then he would find a way to come late," Dash said, trying to hide his laugh.
"Thank you for being so supportive," Danny said, rolling his eyes.
"No problem," Valerie and Dash said, still smirking.
"Now that everyone is here, I can finally share the good news. As you know this year the school wants to do something for this year's Senior class."
"I bet you ten bucks they are going to take us on another camping trip," Dash whispered to Valerie and Danny.
"Nah, it's going to be some crazy trip that no one has ever done that would end up in a disaster," Danny said.
"You're on Fenton," Dash said, shaking Danny's hand.
"You two are morons," Valerie said, shaking her head.
"Hey!"
"I have invited three guests to tell you about the surprise the school has planned for you, mostly because they will be joining us as chaperones. Class, please welcome Jack and Maddie Fenton as well as their daughter Jazmine."
Danny immediately paled at the mention of Jack and Maddie. He really regretted his statement.
"Hi kids! As you know we are the Fenton's and this year we are going to help your school do something for the Senior class. The administration decided to host a field trip to-"
"The Ghost Zone!" Jack said cutting Maddie off.
Never in Danny's 18 years of life did he want to smash his head into his desk more than he did right at that moment. On the bright side, he was ten dollars richer. Jazz just looked like she wanted to give up on the world, she didn't think it was a good idea. Wait let me correct that, she knew this wasn't a good idea. Dash and Valerie didn't know whether to laugh at Danny's predicament, yell at the Fenton's on how stupid an idea that is, or completely give up on life. Dash was leaning toward option 3 and Valerie was leaning toward option 2.
Nevertheless, Danny was screwed.
