Chapter 8: Who Knew Revenge Was So Funny?

After Yesterday's events Ember showed the class where they were staying, she tried to find Danny but he was nowhere to be found. She eventually put Dani to bed and went to bed. Dash, Valerie, and Jazz went to their own rooms. It was currently the next morning and the class along with Dash, Valerie, and Jazz were eating breakfast. Ember walked up to Danny's office and slowly opened the door. Danny looked like he hadn't slept all night, he was currently writing on a blueprint and didn't even notice Ember entering.

"Danny?"

Danny looked up at Ember and smiled. Only it wasn't like his usual smiles, he was tired both mentally and physically and it showed. Ember walked up to Danny and hugged him.

"What on your mind, ghost boy?" Ember asked.

"The Fenton's. Why wasn't I good enough for them?" He asked.

Ember moved to look at Danny's face. With her hands, she lifted his head so he could look at her.

"You are good enough, they are just horrible people that don't deserve you. You have new friends and family who see how special you are. You don't need them," Ember said.

Danny nodded and smiled brightly. Which made Ember smile.

"There's that smile that I know and love," she said. "Now come on, we have to wake up Dani."

The two went to Dani's room and saw her still asleep. Danny walked up to Dani's bed and tried to wake her up.

"No, I want to sleep," Dani mumbled.

Danny sighed, "Well you left me with no choice, here comes the tickle monster!"

Danny tickled Dani and she laughed and squirmed.

"Stop! Stop! I'm up!" She said while laughing.

Danny stopped tickling Dani and sat on her bed.

"Are you sure you're up, cause I could tickle you some more," Danny said.

"No! I'm up!" Dani said.

"I think that she's had enough tickling," Ember said while laughing.

"Come on, you gotta brush your teeth so you can have breakfast with Auntie Jazz, Auntie Val, and Uncle Dash," Danny said.

Dani immediately got up and ran to her bathroom making Ember and Danny laugh. After she was done brushing her teeth she ran to the dining room with her parents walking behind her. She entered the room and ran to where Jazz was.

"Auntie Jazz, daddy is evil!" She said.

"Hey!" Danny said while looking offended.

"Why is that?" Jazz said looking at Dani.

"He tickled me until I woke up," she said.

"That is evil," Jazz said.

"You're supposed to be on my side!" Danny said.

Dani giggled and ran back to Danny.

"Don't worry, I still love you," She said hugging Danny.

"I don't think that was ever in question," he said.

Dani went to where Jazz, Ember, Dash, and Valerie were. Ember picked her up and put her in a chair and gave her breakfast. Danny walked towards where the class was sitting and got their attention.

"So today you will be able to go back home. I have a portal here that you can use. It will bring you to any place in Amity Park but it will be set to bring you to the front of the school. I have notified the school you will be arriving there today. From there you can go home or go wherever you'd like," He said.

Everyone looked happy and excited to go back home. After breakfast, the class got their belongings from the rooms they slept in and came back downstairs. Danny led them to the lab and opened the portal. Everyone left, except Lancer.

"Danny, I just want to say sorry about your parents. You are a bright young man. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise," he said.

"Thank you, Mr. Lancer," Danny said.

"If you need anything..."

"I'll ask, see you Monday."

Once Lancer left Danny turned off the portal. He sighed in relief and turned towards Ember.

"Why do I have a feeling that you did something?" She said.

"Because I did," Danny said smiling.

Ember just shook her head but smiled at Danny's antics.

With The Fenton's

Maddie and Jack Fenton arrived home after returning from the Ghost Zone. Both of them were pissed off at the outcome of the trip. Not only did Danny disrespect them but Jazz had said she was never coming back. If she did it was only to pick up her stuff in her room. The Fenton's went down to their lab to continue their work. Once they went down the stairs they saw the condition of their lab. The portal was destroyed along with all their ghost equipment. They went to where they stored all their information on ghosts and blueprints only to see that the stuff was either stolen or destroyed. Maddie yelled out in anger and Jack was too shocked to do anything.

Inside the Ghost Zone, Danny felt the need to laugh, which he did, gaining confused looks from Jazz, Valerie, Dash, Ember, and Dani. To which he just shrugged and continued doing what he was doing.
