TREE CLIMBING!?!?!?

"Gahh! Sensei, you're awake." I exclaimed quietly so that my team didn't hear.

"Hmm. Ryuu? Where's the rest of our team."

"They're down the hall putting their stuff away."

"Okay, then what are you doing here?"

"Right. I was just wondering if Zabuza is really dead."

"Where'd that come from?"

"It's just the tracker ninja was there for the whole fight and only came out when you were about to kill Zabuza. Then, he killed Zabuza using sebon."

"You're right. Zabuza most likely is still alive."

"I'll go get everyone else."

I walked out and told my teammates that Kakashi-sensei was awake and that he had something to tell us.

Timeskip

"So, what training are we gonna do?" I asked.

"We're going to climb trees."

"HUH??" We all questioned.

"We already know how to climb trees, believe it!" Naruto exclaimed.

"This isn't normal tree climbing. You can't use your hands." Kakashi-sensei explained.

He then proceeded to climb straight up the tree using chakra.

"He threw kunai next to our feet, "Mark your progress using these."

We all ran at our respective trees. Naruto fell almost immediately, Sasuke made it up about 6 feet, Sakura made to a sturdy branch about half-way up the tree, and I went straight to the top.

Timeskip

Kakashi-sensei, Sakura, Sasuke, Naruto, and I were eating dinner with Tazuna, his daughter Tsunami, and his grandson Inari. But if you ask me, Inari's just some bratty kid.

"In a few more days the bridge will be finished. I have you to thank for that." Tazuna said.

"You've all done great, but you've still got to be careful." Tsunami said.

"I've been meaning to ask you this, but I haven't had the chance until now. Why did you stay and protect me, even after you found out I lied to bring you here?" Tazuna asked.

"'Those who stray from the path of justice have no courage, but under the wing of a strong leader, cowardice cannot survive.'" Kakashi-sensei explained.

"Huh?" Tsunami asked confused.

"That was a quote from the First Hokage," Kakashi-sensei said.

"But why?" Inari asked. He was crying. 

"Hmm. What'd you say?" Naruto asked looking up from the table.

"All this stupid training is just a waste of time. Gato's got a whole army. They'll beat you down, and they'll destroy you. These cool things you all say-- they don't mean anything. No matter you do, the strong always win, and the weak always lose." 

"Just speak for yourself. It won't be like that for me. You got that?" Naruto said annoyed.

"Why don't you be quiet? Just looking at you makes me sick. You don't know anything about this country. You're just butting in. Always laughing and playing around. You don't know what it's like to suffer and be treated like dirt." Inari cried.

"Listen to yourself whining and complaining like some sorry little victim. You can whimper all day for all I care. You're nothing but a coward." Naruto exclaimed.

"Naruto, you went too far." Sakura scolded.

"Shut up Sakura. The kid needs to hear this. He's got a mom and grandfather that love him and he's acting like he's got the worse problems in the world." I exclaimed rather annoyed with the brat.

"Ryuu! Don't be so insensitive." Sakura scolded yet again.

"It's not being insensitive Sakura." I turned to face Inari, "Have you even seen the other children in your village. Cause some of them don't got a house or a mother to take care of them. You should count yourself lucky brat." I said with frustration seeping into my voice. Inari just cried harder.

"That's enough Ryuu, Naruto!" Kakashi-sensei looked at us sternly.

"Hmph." Naruto and I grunted simultaneously leaving to go out and train.
