💋Chapter 48

I sat down on my bed of my new apartment, gazing out into the city. The room was dark and cold. The air was tense.

The rest of the squad went out on their missions, so I was here alone trying to figure out how I can use my ability without my remote.

"I mean, it's not like I haven't used my ability without it...I just haven't used it much." I mumbled as my eyes stopped glowing (E/C). This is overwhelming, I need some air. I thought. I clicked the remote and transformed into a little girl.

I walked out of my room and made my way to the elevator. Then I made my way to the lobby. When I turned the corner, I saw Chelsie along with the other pros. I gasped and ran behind the wall. I looked at the remote and peeked behind from my hiding spot. "I have to get rid of this." I said. I casually walked past the pros. Mt Lady stopped me. "Hello darling! Have you seen a woman with a black suit carrying a remote." I shook my head. "I'm sorry, I can't help you. I have to find my mommy. She's taking me to get ice cream!" I said with a closed eye smile. The pros nodded and let me go.

Once I was out of view, I sprouted a pair of angel wings and flew full speed to the nearest beach.

Best Jeanist POV

Best Jeanist looked at the radar on his phone. "Hmm, that doesn't seem right.." he said. "It looks like the remote was just here but it's moving to another location." He said. Endeavors eyes widened. "Wait..that girl." He mumbled. He looked at his radar. It's going pretty fast. We might loose it if we can't find it." Edgeshot said. "It looks like she's heading towards a beach." Mirko said. "Beaches serve ice cream." A detective said. We all quickly ran out of the lobby and got in our cars and made our way to the beach. Hawks rose into the air and flew full speed to the beach.

Y/n POV:
I landed in the parking lot and transformed again.

I quickly followed behind a family of kids and walked onto the beach.

I ran towards the water and jumped in. My body bubbled. I felt my legs transform into a tail. The sides of my head sprouted two identical fins. I swam to the bottom of the ocean as fast as I could and coverd the remote in sand. Then I moved a rock on top of it. I swam back to the surface. Hawks along with the other pros were being bombarded by fans. It gave me a perfect time to escape. "Remote cannot connect, Discuisge Diactivating." My suit said out loud. Mirko's ears perked up. She turned her head towards me. She gasped. My eyes widened and I made a break for it. "Hawks! Stop flirting and help me chase her down!" Mirko said as she hopped full speed towards me. I ran faster. Hawks gasped and spread his wings. His fans "Oo'ed" as he flew towards me. "I can't outrun them in speed, but I can outswim them." I muttered. I ran into the water and before I could transform, hawks grabbed me by my arm.

       And my heart stopped...
