Knock, knock!
I groaned as I awoke to someone at my door. I stumbled out of the bed; it wasn't as comfy as the one from the last island. I guess it severed its purpose as a bed, though.
Until someone wakes me up.
It probably isn't even 10 am, which is the time I usually wake up. Plus, I don't get why do people always come to me to talk about things. Amari's the closest one here to a therapist.
"Hello?" I opened the door to my cabin. I blinked a few times to get a clear view of the human who stood before me.
"Soairse..." Naomi sounded extremely worried. "Can I talk to you about something?"
"Huh?" I was half awake and had now idea what happening. I didn't even know what time it was. "Yeah, sure." I yawned in response after my brain was able to somewhat process what was happening.
"I'm worried about Arlen," She looked down, unsure of what to do. "He won't move from the wall, he hasn't eaten anything since we got on this island... I don't even know if he goes to his cabin at night to sleep."
"Okay," I answered, not really know how else to respond. "What are you going to do?"
"I... I don't know," The streamer sounded more unsure of what to do right now than she has the entire killing game. "Before all this, Arlen was always the one knowing what to do and being the strong one of the two us. But now... I don't even know..."
"Well, if he's not being the strong one, then why don't you do it?" I suggested, not getting how things are easier said than done. "You're stronger than me. You're like a lot stronger than me."
"Hehe..." She laughed at me misunderstanding. "Not physical strength, silly. It's more like emotional strength."
"Well, you're probably just as strong with emotions, right?" I guessed.
"Not exactly," She shook her head. "When I was a little younger than I am now, my parents kicked me out of the house. Arlen got his own apartment and let me stay with him. At first, things were really hard. Money doesn't grow on trees, you know..."
"But if money is just paper than doesn't it grow on trees because you turn trees into paper?" I explained, as the purples haired girl smiled by my comment.
"It's a saying," She told me before continuing her story. "That's actually how I got into streaming. I wanted to make a little extra money to help Arlen out for letting me stay with him. As time went on, I got more popular streaming. Arlen actually started editing my videos. We got enough money to get a bigger place, we weren't having trouble paying the bills anymore, and we got titled as Ultimates."
"Wow," My jaw dropped a little in awe. "Everyone's story of how they got their talents is so much cooler than mind."
"I'm sure your story is pretty cool, too," She smiled as she assured me. "Oh! The point of me telling you the story was because Arlen has always been there for me. He's helped me out a lot, especially when times were tough. It's just saddening to see him like this... It's saddening to see him so depressed. He's usually cheerful and happy."
"Well, I mean, he did spend most of his time with Ocean," I reminded her in case she had forgotten. "Then Ocean turned out to be the killer, and he watched him die. It pretty isn't something you get over in like two minutes."
