"So Cass, what are your plans for the Holidays?" Her head snapped up looking to see who asked. Her eyes landed on Draco who looked at her in question. She should have known it wasn't Bianca, as they didn't do the whole emotional thing.
"Oh, I'm staying here," she shrugged. The boy looked at her, pity in his eyes. She hated that look, and he of all people should know that. After his father was locked up, everyone gave him the look of pity, and he hated it. He saw her face contort into disgust and it must have clicked why because his face had dropped back to its normal state.
"Any particular reason? You know you're always welcomed at the Manor," He said pushing his food around his plate. Pieces of potatoes fell off the side. She saw him shift and heard a loud smacking noise.
Bianca looked up at him giving him a glare when he nodded towards me, "Oh yeah, you're always welcome at my home. My parents adore you," she said. There was a hint of jealousy in her voice, something Cass had never noticed beforehand.
"Thank you," she looked between both blondes, "But I'll be fine. I'm just going to catch up on work and study a little." She couldn't tell if she sounded convincing but from Draco's look, she figured she did.
"Why are we even talking about this so early? Our break isn't for another few weeks," Bianca whined. She's been beyond irritable lately and Cassiopeia couldn't figure out why.
"I was just wondering what her plans were. She is our friend!" He said slightly louder than he should have.
"Guys, let's not fight. I have to go to detention with bloody Umbridge, try not to kill each other," she said sternly. She stood up walking out of the Great Hall, and into the hallway.
"Myers!" She turned around to see Potter running after her, "Walk together?"
She was about to sneer but Weasley's bloody voice rang in her head like a broken record. Don't be an insufferable bitch, maybe you'll make a few friends. She shook her head trying to get her voice to leave. Harry looked taken back, but not surprised. He cowered in fear a little, not only thinking she shook her head no at him, but that shook her head like a madman.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to shake my head at you. Yeah, we can walk together," She looked at him hoping he'd stop cowering. Sadly, he didn't. "So, how bad is detention with Umbitch- oh I mean Umbridge?"
"No, I think Umbitch fits," he chuckles. "Have you really never had detention with her?" He asks as the two walked towards Umbridge's office.
"No, being a Slytherin has at least one perk," she laughed. Being sorted into the house of green and snakes didn't have many perks. People have convinced everyone who was sorted into it was destined to be evil. Though being Umbridges favorite, and Snapes least hated house helped in more ways than one.
"Well, let's put it this way, you're in for a wild ride," his face grimacing.
"What do you mean?" She was confused about what could possibly happen. Lines? Cleaning her office? The boy escapes death daily, what could be so bad that he grimaced? She made a mental note to laugh at the thought later when Potter wasn't next to her.
"We're here," he said, ignoring her question. He could see the wheels turning in her head and didn't want to be the one to ruin her semi-good mood.
