Waking up the next morning was hell. Cass felt like a troll had stomped on her multiple times, just for the weeping willow to throw her a few hundred yards. At this point Cassiopeia was sure she threw up a lung or maybe her kidney.
"Good morning, Cassiopeia," Daphne greeted her. Cass noticed she was already dressed in her school clothes sitting in a chair next to her bed.
"Did you stay here all night," she asked referring to the chair. She nodded and smiled at her like it was no big deal. It looked quite uncomfortable, making Cass feel guilty the girl stayed in it.
"Yes, I was scared you'd get sick again," she worried.
"I didn't wake you when I came in last night, right," she asked. She didn't remember much of last night except running into the bathroom and the flashbacks. She knew slowly throughout the day it would all come back and she wasn't looking forward to it.
"You did, but don't worry it's okay. I was more than glad to help. How are you doing today? You seemed very distressed last night." Cass was confused on why she helped, or why she cared. Then again Cass was confused when anyone showed they cared.
"I'm fine," she lied, "I must have eaten something bad." It would have been a believable lie if Daphne hadn't been observing the mysterious girl for five years.
Daphne had nodded and went to get up as Cass grabbed her wrist, "Why do you care?" It came out with more attitude than intended making both girls recoil. "I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry I don't know what took over me, I was just curious. I mean you didn't see Bianca helping me and we're supposedly best friends."
The tall black haired girl smiled at her, "You looked like you could use a real friend." She stood up leaving Cass confused as ever. She had taken a new liking to the Greengrass girl, she was... different.
Reluctantly she got up to get ready for class, as she slept through most of breakfast. Not in the mood to look nice today she threw on her uniform and robes and made her way to herbology.
She trudged her way to her seat, which happened to be next to Neville Longbottom. Surprisingly, she didn't mind the boy, well that was when he wasnt shaking in fear next to her. She looked at his seat to see he wasn't there, and thought it was weird because he loved this class. She looked across the room to see him in Weasleys seat next to Potter helping him with something she guessed was related to this class.
She turned her head back, grabbing her book. She was startled when a displeased Weasley threw his stuff down next to her dropping his body into his seat. The boy was glaring over at Potter and Longbottom with so much fury she thought steam may erupt from his ears.
"You're going to give yourself a bloody aneurysm if you don't calm the hell down," she said staring at the boy whose face was now just as red as his hair.
He scoffed, "back to being a bloody insufferable bitch I see." She raised her hand and smacked the back of his head. His head whipped in her direction looking down on her, sending a malicious glare.
"Say it again. I- dare- you," she said pausing in between each word, enunciating them. "I will slap you silly, Weasel." If looks could kill, the red haired boy would be dead.
"You're an insufferable bi-" he was cut off by Potter yelling at him from across the room.
"Ron! You never learn to shut up do you," he chuckled at the boy's stupidity. He shook his head and turned back to Longbottom and continued their conversation.
He glared at her until Professor Sprout came in, where he turned towards her. Throughout the class, Cassiopeia could feel Ronald Weasley's glare making holes in the side of her head. The tension between the two was unnecessarily high. She never did anything to the boy, well as of that moment, but if the prick rolled his eyes at her one more time she'd hit him so hard they'd stay there permanently.
And she told him that.
"Weasley, you roll your eyes at me one more time, I'll slap you so hard they stay there," he voice laced with venom as she spoke. She slammed her book shut and threw it in her bag. Thankfully, Sprout dismissed class before her anger could make her act out.
As she was leaving the class she heard Weasley call out, "Myers! You're all bark, no bite." He snickered while others stared. She could see Potter and Granger trying to pull him away, but failing.
Anger rushed through her veins. Everything went red, "Oh yeah Weasley? Watch me bite then." Before he could comprehend her words she lunged at him. Merlin must have had Weasleys back that day as Draco and Bianca were only a few feet away, grabbing her wrists before she could do any damage.
The pair dragged the chocolate haired girl back to their common room, away from prying eyes, before the intervention had begun.
"What were you thinking," Draco yelled. His anger was something he was known for, but it didn't scare her. His worst looked weak next to her rage. She stared up at him not giving him an answer. She owed him nothing.
"You could have killed him," Biance said, worry written across her face. "You can't be doing these things Cassiopeia."
She didn't care, she looked at them wondering when this sad excuse of a lecture would end. "Has anyone ever told you guys that expression?" She asked, chuckling.
"Which expression Cassiopeia," Draco sighed, rubbing his temples. He was beyond fed up with the girl at this point.
"The one that goes- mind your own damn business," her voice was stern. She didn't need them sticking their noses where it didn't belong. They didn't like it when she did it to them, so maybe they shouldn't do it to her.
"Cassiopeia Nova Myers, I swear to Merlin-" Draco seethed.
"YOU don't get to talk to me about my anger when you can't even control your own!" Her outburst took them back. They two looked at each other then back to her contemplating what to say. Neither said anything to her, "That's what I thought." She stormed out of there and onto her next class.
