Cassiopeia Myers is convinced she'll never love or feel it.
Ron Weasley grew up in the Burrow surrounded by love.
When the two opposites cross path one night, Cass puts up her usual cold front to establish dominance, but Ron is no where near intimi...
All throughout transfiguration, Macmillan continued to infuriate her. It pissed Draco off and Macmillan knew it. Cassiopeia had never felt so relieved to be able to go to lunch when the class had ended. Sitting down between Draco and Bianca she slammed her head straight down onto the table.
"Was it that bad," Bianca asked.
"Yes. He's an insufferable- infuriating- irksome-"
"Name some more words that start with I, why don't you," Draco chuckled. She sent him a glare and her eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly.
"irritating- idiotic- inferior git!" She spits. "It was the worst hour of my life! If I ever have to do that again I may just pitch myself off the astronomy tower."
The two laughed at the girl's reaction as Draco put his arm around her shoulder, "Eat Cass." The voice was stern, knowing the girl was stressed and would most likely try and skip the meal.
She sighed, and slapped some food onto her plate, and slowly shoveled the food into her mouth.
"Merlin Cass, you're starting to look like Weasley eating like that," Blaise commented, making everyone laugh.
Across the table, she made eye contact with a confused Weasley who heard his name. She glared and he looked away, face reddened. She continued to shovel her food into her mouth causing her to choke.
"Cassiopeia! When I said eat I didn't mean bloody shoveling it down your throat!" Draco nearly screamed, getting the attention of everyone around them. All eyes were on her, making her feel uncomfortable. She rolled her eyes and muttered a few nasty words under her breath causing him to flick her head.
"Whatever, I'm done," she said, picking up her bag and walking out of the Great Hall.
"Malfoy, I swear to stop being a git to the poor girl," Bianca exclaimed, slapping his arm.
"What did I even do," he whined.

Cassiopeia wandered around and found herself in her usual spot at the astronomy tower.
She sat down against the rail, her knees coming up to her chest and her arms wrapping around them. She dropped her head into her legs feeling like she was going to explode with emotions. She felt as if she was losing control again. Like everything was falling apart. She couldn't cry, she was weak enough. Crying won't fix anything, she had reminded herself.
Her mind continued to race. Thoughts flooding her head. Her hands snaking their way up to her hair yanking fiercely hoping to make it stop. She kept going back to the letter she woke up to from her mother.
Cassiopeia,
do not come home for Christmas
mother
No "I love you" or "I'm sorry", not even an explanation as to why she was to remain at school. She didn't really know why she continued to expect her mother to one day become, well a mother. She just wished she could have that. Have a mother who loved her, and said it to her, one who would support her, who wanted to see her happy. But she never would, and that broke her heart into a million pieces and some.
"I thought I'd find you up here," a concerned voice interrupted her thoughts. She looked up expecting Bianca or Draco, maybe even Blaise or Daphnee, but her eyes met those icy blue ones.
"You stormed out of the Great hall, I just wanted to see if you were okay." He seemed genuine, or at-least his eyes did. For all, she knew he was a good actor.
Cass didn't wait to find out when the realization hit; Weasley had followed her. She quickly stood up embarrassed he caught her in such a vulnerable state.
"Why are you here?" she cried. She was in no mood for any more shit today. Her heart was hurting. Her mother didn't love her, she always knew that, it was just she never told her not to come home for Christmas. She didn't even know why her mother was making such plans a month in advance, and she never would. So the last thing she needed was some silly boy pretending to care.
"Oi! Drop the attitude," he growled. "I came to check on you! I don't see your bloody friends here, do you?" His face was red, but she couldn't tell if it was from embarrassment or anger at this point, and not did she care.
"I didn't need you to check on me," she sneered. "I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself, Weasley!"
His body clearly stiffened. His jaw clenched as he took a step forward. "Stop being such an insufferable bitch and maybe you'll make a friend or two, Myers." His words stung as if someone stabbed her in the chest. The boy quickly turned and this time left her flustered at the top of the astronomy tower.
She sunk back down into the ground. Traitor tears falling from her eyes. She clawed at her face begging and pleading for them to stop escaping her eyes and slowly crawling down her face. They didn't stop, and neither did the pain in her heart.
She was so unloveable her own mother doesn't even love her. So unlovable her father left before even knowing her. Everyone thought she was a cold-hearted bitch. She was surprised her own friends could tolerate her.
All Cassiopeia wanted was to be loved. To feel love. The love they show in books, the warm feeling you get when you see them. The love that consumes you and makes you vulnerable, but in a favorable way. A love where they support you and make you happy, a feeling she wasn't familiar with. She wanted the one thing the universe greedily kept from her.
Cassiopeia Myers wanted someone to love her, love ever sing part of her the good, the bad, and all that's in between. Ronald wanted to give someone some of the love his family has placed inside his heart. He wanted to give it to someone who made him happy, stronger, and confident with himself. He wanted to give it to someone who needed it, and what he didn't know was Cassiopeia Nova Myers was exactly the person he was looking for.
