(Y/N), that is huge!' You are sitting in the café with Lily and you have told her everything. 'And you haven't told Sirius yet?' You shake your head.
'No, I can't think of any way how.'
'Okay,' Lily says and she takes your hands with hers. 'But you do have to tell him, and soon, or he will think that you have hidden it from him.' Lily stays silent but then she says: 'Do you want to keep it?'
'I think I do,' you admit. You have thought about it a lot, but actually you do really want to keep the baby. You will find a way to work it out, you'll have to. And even if Sirius freaks out and leaves, you will always have someone that will remind you of him. 'I know that it will be hard, but what if this is my only chance? I mean it's not like there are a ton of guys that want to date me, what if it takes years before I find someone that loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me?'
'I understand and to be honest, I think you should keep the baby. It is after all the child of the love of your life,' Lily says and winks.
'Shut it!' you laugh and you turn red.
'So it is true!' Lily exclaims. You say nothing which makes Lily giggle. 'It doesn't matter for now. What we have to do is find a way to tell him. And the courage for you to do it.'
On your way back home, you and Lily try to come up with ways to tell Sirius and when you get home, you feel a bit better. You know that Lily supports you no matter what and that you always can rely on her.
'Are you staying for dinner?' you ask Lily while you take off your coats.
'Yeah, I would love to!' Lily says and see looks into the kitchen. You frown at her but she ignores it. You enter the kitchen and are greeted by Peter.
'I was just about to call you to see if you would be home for dinner!' he says.
'Do you need help?' you ask him. You send Lily to the living room and start to help Peter with dinner. Preparing dinner with Peter takes your mind off your problems. It is not much that you do; Peter is the real chef and you just cut the vegetables and mix the sauce, but you like it.
After fifteen minutes Sirius and Remus enter the kitchen and sit down at the kitchen counter.
'Are you here to help us?' you ask.
'No, not really,' Sirius answers.
'Then don't fucking touch the food!' Sirius drops the food he was bringing to his mouth. He makes puppy eyes at you and pouts. 'No amount of begging will change it, Black.' You turn around.
'Really? Because I seem to remember something else...' Your eyes widen and over your shoulder you look at Remus. He has raised his eyebrow at Sirius and looks back at you.
'I think we're done!' Peter says. He hasn't noticed the awkward situation in the kitchen at all. You close your eyes for two seconds and take a deep breath.
'Great! Will you two lay the table?' you ask, more pointed to Remus, still avoiding Sirius' looks.
When you sit down, you watch James and Lily. They are seated opposite of you. Lily is giggling about a joke James made and you see she is flirting with him. Usually she doesn't laugh like this. You know about James' crush on Lily, everyone does, but Lily never told you something about liking him back. Normally when James makes a joke she just rolls her eyes and doesn't laugh. But now she is nickering at a joke that is not even that funny. And you are not the only one at the table who notices it. Peter and Remus are also watching the peculiar situation and next to you, Sirius is staring at Lily with his mouth open.
