A/N: OK IN THAT PICTURE AARON LOOKS FINEEEEE!
The stars were just starting to appear in the sky, you laid on the grass, still warm from the day's sun. James laid beside you talking about his year as you talked about yours.
You both went to different wizarding schools, he went to Hogwarts and you went to Ilvermory. You spent the majority of your summer with James since you met him last year, you had spent every summer with your aunt who moved last year to only a couple houses down from his.
Last summer your brother came to visit too, but this summer it was just you and James which was kind of exciting to get alone time with him since you harbored a tiny crush on him.
James had spent a long time trying to find a specific constellation, remaining quite for a while, "That one!" he exclaimed.
"That one right there?" You said as you pointed to where he was looking.
"Yeah, one of my best friends from school, Sirius, he is named after that constellation." James smiled when he spoke about him and then frowned.
"Why do you look sad? Do you miss him already?"
"Yeah, it's just he's like brother to me, it's only been a week and I miss him like crazy. It just sucks knowing I'm spending my summer, you know having fun with you and he is at home where his parents treat him so bad and he's so lonely."
"Oh James, why don't we go visit him sometime soon?"
James turned to you a troublesome smirk on his face. "And how do you suggest we do that?"
You pushed his shoulder "Calm down we aren't going to steal a train don't get too excited, I know how to drive a muggle car and my aunt said I can use hers this summer."
James had a wide smile on his face, his eyes crinkling and his glasses being pushed up by his cheeks. "I can't wait, maybe we can meet with Remus too. I wonder what Lily is doing, oh she won't want to meet up with us."
You had heard all about Remus and Sirius and even Peter but this was the first time you heard the name Lily.
"Who is Lily?" You asked sheepishly.
"Oh Lily, she's uh, she goes to our school but she doesn't really like us, well she's fine with Remus but, I asked her out like a hundred times last year and she said no each time." He awkwardly laughed as his sentence trailed off.
"Why did you keep asking her?" You felt jealous, he was chasing after some girl all year, you probably never even crossed his mind.
"I thought she would eventually say yes I guess, but she never did."
"Well maybe you should move on then, she obviously isn't interested."
James frowned and your realized you had probably been a little harsh "I mean she has no reason not to I mean, you're uh, you're attractive and funny I assume just as troublesome at school if not more."
"Is that a good quality?" James chuckled as he asked.
"Well I think it is, it uh, it shows your resourcefulness and wit!" You smiled looking back up the stars seeing him smile from the corner of your eye.

You spent the next day planning the trip and writing letters to make the plans with James' friends, you were excited to meet them.
The next week you were packing up the car, you knew Sirius had to sneak out during the night and deal with the consequences when he got back.
"Do we have everything?" James asked, he was quite excited and you could tell.
