❀Chapter 40: Damien & Dorian❀

๑۞๑ ❀3rd Person POV❀ ๑۞๑

"Mama and dad have been going to a lot of meetings lately." Dorian mentions to his brother while setting his book aside on the table. "Mother and father have been busy dealing with new threats, Dorian. Don't forget we're his main targets so it's best we stay away from any of this." Damien says, looking up from his own book.

"If it weren't obvious the meetings are also about Melinoe's boyfriend with him committing arson almost anywhere he goes." Damien said, raising a brow seeing Dorian was lost in his thoughts. "Are you even listening?" Damien asked as Dorian snapped out of his thoughts.

"I'm listening just thinking about mama and our big sister and how everything is been hard on them lately." Dorian admits to his twin brother, "Mama is been busier with meetings and handling decisions and big sister Melinoe is feeling not so well because of the situation."

Damien sighed and shook his head, "Well, it can't be helped. Mother is doing what she can in these situations and Melinoe... she's not copping very well with this. Father and her had another argument which didn't end well."

Dorian sighed, "I'm going to check up on Melinoe why don't you check up on mama and see how everything goes?" He suggested to his twin brother who agreed with him. So it was decided that they check up on their mother and sister separately.

Damien checked your on his mother, noticing she working on some things for up coming meetings. "Mother?" He knocked on the door that was left open, "May I come in? I would like to check up on you." He was always polite to everyone as long they got on his good side, but this was his mother. Always showed respect for her.

"Of course," (Y/N) replied, as her son walked in, "You wanted to check on me didn't you?" His mother asked with a small smile on her face. Damien nodded his head, "I wanted to see how everything was, and because of everything that is been going on, you haven't been free lately."

(Y/N) sighed, "I'm doing fine, Damien. Been stuck in meetings left and right, but I do plan to hold back a few meetings to relax and spend time with you, Dorian, and Melinoe as well. I know I haven't been around anymore, and your father is busy with things at the hotel."

Damien shook his head, "Mother it's completely understandable. Do take your time." He says with a smile. (Y/N) smiles in return, "So polite and smart aren't you, Damien?" His mother laughs slightly. Damien nods, "Father has taught me some manners."

(Y/N) called for her son to come closer and he did so. Hugging her son, she was glad that he came to check on her. Damien wasn't an affectioned person, but when it came to his mother, he wasn't afraid to show that he cared for his mother.

After another short talk between the two, Damien excused himself, and went to his room. While waiting for his brother, he wondered how it was going with his sister. Since she's been closed off for long time now.

"Melinoe?" Dorian knocked on his sister door waiting for response from her, but didn't receive a response from her. He sighed, and opened the door, "Big sister I'm sorry to just-" Cutting himself off, Dorian saw his older sister sitting by the window with her hellhound laying his head on her lap as she pet him.

Dorian shut the door behind him and walked towards his sister and standing just a few inches away from her. There's was nothing, but silence till he spoke up, "Melinoe.. I... I'm worried about you.." He said to his sister as turned towards his direction away from the window.

"Sorry to worry you, Dorian." Melinoe says, giving him a small sad smile, "I'm fine.. just been going through all of this that has been happening. I gets almost been a year since I last saw him in person... but seeing what's he been doing isn't the Voxer, I knew once.."

Dorian knew his sister was hurting, but didn't know much about situations like this one. "Melinoe do you think it's his doings?" Asking his older sister, she shook her head in response, "I don't believe so.. I mean he's been through hell, literally- but I guess there's somethings that I don't know about him."

Dorian didn't know much about this situation, but he was concerned for his older sister and now planned and spending time with her more along with dragging his twin brother too. He was like his mother always there, but had his father personal depending all on the situation.

"Melinoe maybe it's time to let go for now... at least so your not worried about the situation." Dorian had suggested to his older sister, who merely nodded and pulled her brother in for a hug, "Yeah... I guess it wouldn't to let some things go for a while..."

"How did it go?" Damien asked his twin brother. Dorian simply smiled, "I got Melinoe to let go of some things at least for a while..." He could only assume his sister would let go of some things just for a while. "That reminds me, father wishes to see us in his study." Damien mentions.

Dorian nodded in agreement and left with his twin brother to their fathers study. Both twins were unsure why their father wanted to see them in the first place. When they arrived in his study, Damien knocked on the door and shorty after Alastor and opened the door and let them both in.

Taking a seat, Alastor began, "I'm aware that you both are aware of the situations at hand, and I believe I said not to get involved." Damien rose a brow, "Father if I may, but really were not aware of what's happening since you and mother wanted us away from The Tv Demon."

Damien said, as Alastor agreed with him, "Very well, my boy. And one more thing do be keeping an eye on your sister and mother. I have heard you both have grown... concerned about them." The twins agreed, and Dorian spoke up, "Dad is the situation that bad?"

"I believe so, my boy. Perhaps I'll speak to your mother and possibly let you both now. I intend not to keep things away from you both just like your sister when she was younger." Alastor said before letting the boys go off to do what they please until he needs to see them again.

"Say Damien when we get bigger do you think we can protect our sister since she's always been protecting us?" Dorian asked his brother, tilting his head to the right. Damien nodded, "Maybe, just maybe we can do that, Dorian." Damien said, "She's been protecting us for a long time now. I guess it wouldn't hurt to return the favor."

Dorian smiled and nodded his head repeatedly, "Were gonna protect our big sister now!" Damien sighed, "Hold it too, we still need to get taller and older don't forget that." Flicking his forehead, Dorian rubbed his forehead and sighed, "Almost forgot about that.."

Damien sighed, "You always forget things." He said shaking his head. "I won't forget this time!" Dorian laughed as his twin brother rolled his eyes before flicking his forehead. Damien shook his head, "Keep it up Dorian.. keep it up."
