{Chapter 23: Three Months Down Six to Go}

"Little brother or sister, do you still want to stay inside of mommy?" Melinoe says to my belly, "I really want to meet you!" Smiling softy at my daughter talking to the baby, I was carrying, "Daddy spoke to you too when you were in my womb." I said, placing both of my hands on my belly.

Melinoe looked up at, "Daddy talked to me a lot?" She ask, tilting her head. "That's right." I nod my head, "When ever you didn't hear his voice you would start kicking a lot until you heard his voice." Truthfully, Melinoe always liked the sound of his voice.

"Daddy told me about that! I would always kick if I didn't hear daddy's voice!" Melinoe laughs slightly, "Do you think my little brother or sister will kick a lot too?" She asks. "Maybe, but I'm sure yet, my little flower. We'll have to wait and see, alright?" Now thinking about it more, Melinoe really did enjoy being around Alastor more.

Even when she was a baby, she always wanted to be around him more then me. Melinoe is truly a daddy's girl. At times when I had Alastor watch after her, she would be either pulling his ears or either sleeping in his arms. Those were precious moments to me even now they still are precious to me.

"Mommy? Can I feel your belly?" Melinoe asks, tilting her head to the right. "Of course you can." I replied, removing my hands and letting her place her hands on my belly. Melinoe stared in awe, looking at my belly. She looked up at me, and smiled softy, "Mommy how did you react when I was born?"

"Oh sweetheart... come here." Picking her up, I sat down on the sofa, and placing her next to me, "I was so happy when you were a born... you were so adorable, and lovable." I replied. "What about daddy?" Melinoe asks, "He was very happy too, daddy was also happy when he held you for the first time."

"Mommy is my sibling gonna like me just how much I like them right?" Melinoe asks, leaning against me, "Yes, your little brother or sister will like as much, they be happy around you because they have the best big sister they could ask for." I replie, pulling her closer.

"Really?" Melinoe says while rubbing her eyes, "Mommy... I love you, and daddy and my sibling too." She says, and her eyes grow heavy, "And we love you as well..." I whisper as Melinoe fell asleep next to me. Must have been tired from playing all day with her hellhound, no wonder she had fallen asleep.

I wanted to take her up to her room so she could there, but I didn't want her waking up so I stayed with her on sofa. Watching as my daughter slept soundly, I wondered what would be in store along the road.

Such as how would things turn out for us, and for my daughter. I knew she couldn't always stay as Alastor's and I's little girl forever. Right now she's six so she still has time, but Melinoe is starting to grow up now, and eventually she will be grown up.

To think that six years ago, Melinoe was born. Truthfully, I was very happy when she was born, and I'll be just as happy when Alastor and I second child is born. That's something I really look forward, but one thing for sure that I'm not looking for is. The pain of giving birth. Not something I enjoyed.

About half an hour passed since then, (Y/N) continued to watch after her child as she slept soundly now her lap. Though, she was lost in her own thoughts as well. The sound of the front door opening and closing, snapped her out of it. Then a pair foots soon followed after.

Looking up, (Y/N) saw Alastor standing in front her. With his usual smile on his face. "Dearest, allow me to take our daughter to her room, so she may sleep there." Alastor had suggested. "Alright, but try not to wake her up, she hasn't fallen asleep until now."

Alastor chuckled softy, and walked over, and picked up Melinoe in his arms, "Dear, I have something I would love to show you something, I have arranged." (Y/N) nodded in response, and followed Alastor. First taking Melinoe to her room, and placing her in her bed before showing (Y/N) to another room.

The other room was just right next to Melinoe's. Alastor opened the door to the other room, and revealed a nursery. At first (Y/N) didn't know what to say, she was speechless before turning to Alastor. He merely kept his smile on his face, "What do you think, love?"

"I love it..." she replied before turning her attention back to nursery. Something caught her attention as well. Two cribs. Walking over, (Y/N) saw them more closely before turning to look at Alastor, whom was right behind her.

"Perhaps what your mother, Lilith had said may be right. When she had said, 'both.' Had me thinking my dear." Alastor explains about the second crib in the room. "I see, then if she is right, I hope your ready to handle two instead of one." (Y/N) mentioned, "And we're already dealing with Melinoe."

"You are right, my dear. We do have our daughter to raise as well. Perhaps it won't be too difficult to raise them." Alastor says. (Y/N) nodded in agreement, "Three months down, six to go..."

In the meantime, Melinoe had woken up a little bit after being taken to her room. She looked around her surroundings to see she was no longer in the living room, but her own bedroom. "Where's mommy?" The child wondered where her mother was.

Getting off the bed, the small child ran out of her room, and made her way to the hall way. Where her parents were coming out of the room right next to hers. Running over to them, she was very happy to see both her parents.

Alastor was happy as well to see his little girl running over to them. He hadn't seen her since this morning. He was busy at the hotel today. "Daddy! Mommy told me about when I was first born! And that you were very happy about it!" Melinoe says excitedly.

"Ah, did she now?" Alastor says looking over at (Y/N) then back at Melinoe. "Mm! It makes me smile more knowing daddy was happy when I was born!" Alastor gaze soften, he kneels down to her level and smiles softly at her, "Sweetheart, I was thrilled when you were born, my dear!" He exclaimed.

Melinoe giggles before running into his arms, "I'm glad to hear daddy!" She says hugging him, Alastor soon returns the hug before picking her up, "As am I, sweetheart."
