Frank glanced around the room nervously, taking in all of the hard work that he had managed to do in the last four hours. He thought it was good, he wasn't sure if it was perfect though. He wanted it to be perfect, no, he needed it to be perfect.

Everything had to be perfect for tonight, everything had to be perfect for Gerard. That was what he deserved – perfection and nothing less. And as long as Frank could manage it, no matter what it took, that was what he would give him.

Gerard, Frank knew, he would do everything he could for him, he loved him so much; Gerard was the love of his life, his one true love. Frank was his, and Gerard was Frank's. And hopefully, they would keep each other for eternity. That is, if Gerard agreed of course. If he said yes.

Frank took a deep breath, and looked around him again. He had turned their house into a work of art, littering the floor with quite the number of roses, both red and white – Gerard's personal favorites.

He had put candles on top of shelves and tables, but he hadn't lit them yet; he was waiting for Gerard. Another thing Frank had done, despite Gerard being an artist, was going to another one, and having him draw a picture of Frank and Gerard from their first year anniversary.

It was a picture they both loved so much, and their one year anniversary – fuck, Frank couldn't help but smile thinking of it. It was four fucking years ago, Frank was twenty and Gerard was twenty two. Although at the time, before Gerard had told him, Frank was sure he was eighteen at the most.

Gerard, he just had this face, it never seemed to age. He was like an immortal, perhaps more of a vampire though, holding eternal beauty and paleness. If you were to see him for the first time, or second or fifth, unless he had told you his age, it was most likely that you would cut at least three or more years from his actual age.

Because, as Frank has stated, Gerard had a youthful face, he looked young and he looked pretty. He was the kind of person that were they confident enough they would be models. If only his ex hadn't drilled into his head that he wasn't as pretty as he actually was.

Frank hated the guy, and he had never even met him. Gerard was beautiful, and it was sad to see him every day question that, despite that Frank made sure to tell him that at least once or twice a day.

At their first year anniversary, they were both awkward teens, adults maybe, but not truly. Frank had taken Gerard to a festival that came to the city, he had refused to go there before, but when he saw how sad it made Gerard, he just had to do it.

And by some crazy luck, it was still there for their anniversary, so Frank took him there, and they both had more fun then they thought they'd have. Frank was glad they had gone there, especially when one of the photographers that walked around the festival took a picture of them without their knowledge.
