Crap.

I was late.

Quickly grabbing a small bite of toast I ran through my house, my tie hung messily around my neck, I could fix it later. I was running out of time. Seeing as I overslept and my grandmother was out at a floral convention in the town next over I couldn't rely on her to wake me up on time. I sent a quick apology to Tsu before tying my shoes and rushing outside. I took quick glances to either side of me. I guess I could always run. I know that using your quirk without a license is frowned upon but if nobody could even tell who I was then no harm no foul right? Scarfing down the rest of my toast I readied myself for the sprint of a lifetime. I had 10 minutes before school began, and knowing the usefulness of my quirk I could make it there with a few minutes to spare. Taking a deep breath I activated my quirk and ran.

Narrowly dodging the passing people around me everything moved in slow motion. The slow flap of a bird's wings as it landed on a lamp post, the low hum of a car as it slowly moved down the street. My blue hair whipped around me as I ran to UA. Turning around a corner I made contact with the school grounds, not bothering to slow until I reached the entrance. But little did I know There was a short guardrail lining the path and because of my partial blindness I completely missed it. I deactivated my quirk with a strangled gasp as I tripped and flew over the small fence. I landed with a thud like a flattened pancake on the ground. How embarrassing! I squeaked after glancing at my phone, 4 minutes until class! Quickly standing and brushing off my now soiled uniform I checked to make sure nobody saw me make a fool of myself before running into the building. But little did I know someone had seen, and they thought it was hilarious.

With a huff, I made it to my class, 1-A, the hero course. Taking a deep breath I slowly opened the door to reveal a bustling classroom filled with unique faces and loud voices. One of which seemed to be chastising a boy with spiky blond hair who lazily rested their feet on a desk. With a quick turn of his head, the navy haired boy made his way over to me.

"You there! Fix your tie, I don't want your sloppiness to affect our class' presentation!" I turned to look behind my shoulder before I realized he was talking to me. I felt my face erupt in an unpleasant blush as I tried to fix my tie with fumbling fingers.

"Sorry about that," I said bashfully, "I was in a rush this morning and totally forgot! Thanks for reminding me-" I stopped waiting for him to introduce himself.

"Tenya Ida, nice to meet you." He held out a hand in greeting. I meekly grabbed onto it giving it a simple shake, my blush ever-present on my face. Great, my first interaction with my new class made me appear like a total dunce. I looked up to see that the rest of the class was filling through the doors making introductions. Making my way to the back of the classroom I noticed a boy leaning up against the wall near the windows. His face was turned as whatever was happening outside seemed to be more interesting than meeting his classmates.

I took a seat in the back near the window, that way if I was ever bored in class the clouds could keep me entertained. Sitting in my seat with a sigh I set my bag on the floor. I heard a shuffle behind me and noticed the boy who was staring out the window made his way to the seat beside mine. I glanced at his face, only to be met with the most beautiful pair of eyes I had ever seen. A bright grey and piercing blue. His eyes widened a fraction as he stared at my face. I could only assume he was staring at my eye. Scarred, ugly. But what surprised me the most is he too had his own scars. They surrounded his brilliantly blue eye that only made the color appear more radiant. Before I could introduce myself to him I heard my name being called from across the room.
