Chapter 2

"Luke Hemmings, mate I haven't seen you in ages how have you been?" Michael stood up and bro hugged Luke.

"I've been great! Who's this beautiful girl? Got yourself a girlfriend Mikey?" Luke asked holding his hand out for me to shake.

I took his hand and shook it smiling "I'm Maria, Michael's friend."

"Oh so your single." Luke winked at me and I chuckled.

"Mate back off she's off limits." Michael got defensive.

"It's alright Michael no one wants to date a pregnant woman anyway." I smiled at the boys and watched Luke's face go from cheeky to shocked.

"So your a single mother?" I nodded slightly looking down. "Shit I respect that, I'd never be able to be a single mother I guess you have Michael to help you though aye?"

I looked between the two boys smiling. "Yeah it makes everything a bit easier having Michael around." I smiled at Mike and he smiled back.

The cashier called Luke and Michael's name as they both headed towards the counter to collect their pizzas.
"Well it was nice to meet you Maria. I better head back home, Calum's waiting to play video games. You guys are more than welcome to come to mine if you want."

I looked up at Michael and he shrugged I turned back to Luke and smiled "thanks for the offer Luke but I think we might just go back to Mikey's and hang out maybe another time." I smiled giving him a hug.

"Okay well I'll see you guys around." Luke smiled at us giving Michael a bro hug and walking off to his car. We walked to Mike's car and hopped in, me in the passenger seat holding the pizza.

"Should we go pick up a movie or you just wanna play video games and watch reruns of Friends?" Michael asked before he started the car.

I shrugged and pulled out my phone "whatever your feeling Mikey. I'm happy with video games even if you do beat me every time." I chuckled replying to my mum that I'll call her when I get to Michael's.

Michael has met my mum a couple times and she likes him. She thinks we are going to get together soon, I don't know though. I think we are better off friends I mean I love Michael and all but it's more of a friend way and I just, I don't want to get hurt again.

"What's up buttercup? You look like something's bothering you." Mike sneaked a glance and me worriedly.

"Just thinking about things, nothing too serious don't worry." I smiled back at him reassuring him he had nothing to worry about.
