The next morning I was rudely awakened by some of the loudest knocking I have ever heard, on my door.

"I have breakfast in bed for you!" Lizzy shouts loud enough for the entire world to hear. I put on my slippers and open the door. Good thing it was Sunday because I would have died of exhaustion if I were to work today.

Lizzy bursts into my room as if she owns the place and sets the breakfast for the both of us on the bed. Some waffles and syrup, sliced fruits, and some tea. We make ourselves comfortable and start eating the delicious food.

"What's the occasion?" I ask Lizzy as I sip some of the warm tea. She looks at me accusingly over her own mug of coffee.

"Hello, where did you go off to last night?" she asks me in an expectant manner.

"I went off with the prince to try to get to know him better, get closer to the royal family you know?" I fumble on my words a bit. Lizzy doesnt seem to be having any of it.

"He has left not one but two balls for you!" Lizzy tells me excitedly and shakes me by the shoulders as if trying to celebrate. The last thing on my mind is trying to woo a prince into choosing me to be the future queen of a kingdom I evaporated to a few weeks ago. I sigh and finish the rest of my tea before speaking.

"You are making too much of a big deal about it. And its not even like that," I correct her.

"We'll see," Lizzy says anonymously.

"Lets not speak about me anymore, where were you?" I ask her with an eyebrow up. Lizzy almost chokes when I ask the question and I pat her back lightly.

"Stupid strawberry," Lizzy shakes her head in frustration once shes done choking.

"I was just wondering around ball," Lizzy tries lying to me. I see right through my best friends jumbly words and fidgeting fingers.

"That is the most absurd lie you have ever told me Elizabeth," I throw a strawberry at her in amusement. She throws it backs at me and lands on our dirty dishes.

"I may have spent the evening with the crown prince's best friend," she mumbles out fast and quietly purposely trying to make it hard to understand her.

"I have never heard Nathaniels best friend's name," I question her further trying to get information out of Lizzy. At this point her cheeks are flaming red and I know she has a big fat crush.

"His name is Sebastian Cruze and hes a new acquaintance of mine," Lizzy continues to try to hide her crush on this said Sebastian.

"Nice," I reply shortly. I didnt want to pry too much on her crush since she seemed genuinely uncomfortable.

"Nice?" Lizzy questions me with a surprised face. She was surprised I wasnt teasing her about her crush and asking for all the juicy details.

"Yeah you're just friends, just like the prince and I are only friends." I tell her. She nods her head thinking she convinced me that she doesnt like Sebastian Cruze. Lizzy starts standing and heads to the door.

"Cartia be a dear and take the dirty dishes to the staff kitchen," Lizzy opens the door and leaves skipping. She is definitely crushing on Sebastian. I will find out more about them later. She did mention she was going to visit some family today so I should probably spend the rest of today investigating.

I spend the day cleaning my room, putting away the stuff I bought yesterday since I never had a chance. Once satisfied, I wrote down all the small new things I learned about the Royal Family. Like how Nathaniel doesnt like the events thrown to find him a Queen.

Since Nathaniel and I never agreed on a specific time to meet up I decided that going around six in the afternoon was early. It was better to be early than late, I can read some other history books in the library that can also give me valuable information.

I walk down the long white palace halls and the large windows show the nicely lit gardens. I could hardly spot the bench where Nathaniel and I talked at yesterday since I was across the palace from yesterday.

I arrive and open the large wooden doors once again. It hadnt even crossed my mind to visit the other libraries in the castle since I somehow knew no other library would provide the sense of comfort this one gave me.

Walking straight to the same section where I had found the previous history book, I skim my finger along the spines of the leather books. None were about the recent royal family, they are all about the royal families hundreds of years ago.

"There have to be more," I murmur quietly out of frustration when I see there are no more books like the one I was looking for.

"More books like this one?" I hear a deep voice behind me say. I turned around so fast I nearly gave myself whiplash.

Authors Note:

Do you think Cartia will ever tell Nathaniel about her parents? Can Nathaniel be trusted? Can Lizzy be trusted? I am about halfway done writing this book so buckle up!!
