You were the izles in a fire
That shoots off in the air
Unnoticed
The little light that tries to survive
Yet in the midst of coldness and darkness
Fades out
You were the epitome of love lost
Of beauty transient
And disappearing devotions
But you were the reminder
That you were once part of the bigger light
Of something magnificent
