What you weren't ready for was the noises coming from trees and bushes, implying you were followed. When you finally turned back and called out to see who may have followed... You see (Crush), coming out. They were a bit worried and wanted to follow to make sure you were okay.
Scenario B: Scenario A but (OC) and (Crush)'s roles are swapped.
