"Come to the seventh floor in the room in front of the portrait of Barnabas the Barmy tonight at 8 PM. It's for the defense club we talked about in Hogsmeade. Spread the message to the other members that you see," was a message that could be heard a few times throughout the day.

"Wonder why they want us to meet there," was the main question between the club members.

"Potter probably found a place to practice," was the main and most reasonable hypothesis that could be heard.

By the end of the day, every person that was present in Hogsmeade had been informed of the meeting that would take place that night.

As the classes came to an end and 8PM grew closer, 35 students started to head towards the direction of Barnabas the Barmy's portrait. When they reached said corridor, some of the older students were surprised to see a door. They had been there a few times before, but the corridor had always been empty.

The student that was in front of the group opened the door and they all walked in, before quickly stopping to look around the room in amazement.

"Hello," said a voice, bringing people back to Earth.

Everyone turned towards Harry, who simply gestured to the cushions on the floor. Once everyone was seated, Harry spoke again.

"So that's the place we've found to practice defense, and from your earlier reactions, I think you quite like it."

"It's brilliant!" Neville exclaimed, and everyone made some sort of remark agreeing with Neville, thus making him blush of pride.

Harry grinned. "Great. So I was thinking that for the first lesson, we should split into groups of two and practice Expelliarmus, because I've re-"

"Expelliarmus?!" A voice interrupted Harry, who soon identified the person as Zacharias Smith. "This is such a useless spell, I don't see what it would do against You-Know-Who."

"I used this spell against Voldemort last summer and it saved my life."

A silence filled the room following this statement, and some people started to glare quite intensely at Smith.

"But if you think this is beneath you, you can just leave, I don't really care."

Zacharias glared at Harry but didn't move.

This boy is a disgrace to Hufflepuff, Harry thought. I don't understand why the Hat put him there, he is the complete opposite of kindness.

"As I was saying, we're gonna split into groups of two and see how it goes."

If Harry thought it felt weird to give orders to older students, he realized it felt even weirder to see those students follow his orders.

He paired up with Neville, who was alone. Harry disarmed him, but Neville soon managed to disarm the other boy. Harry was sure that he had rarely seen so much pride in Neville's eyes, and it was an amazing thing to see.

"Hey, Nev, would you mind joining Luna and Pansy so I can look at how others are doing?" Harry asked.

Neville nodded as his ears blushed a slight red, which made Harry smirk. He knew his friend had a crush on Luna and Harry was dying to see something happen.

Harry went around the room, correcting people here and there, until Hermione told Harry it was time to end the lesson.

Harry called everyone to a stop. "That was amazing, good job you all! This is the end for tonight as there is the curfew, but I'll let you guys know when the next meeting is." Harry smiled. "Good night and see you next time."
