1 ~ To Dole Island

Your POV
I was wandering around town being bored and waiting for the ship to dole island to show up. When I saw some kid with spiky blackish greenish hair following an annoyed old man with spiky black hair. Well there are some weird people around here so whatever. As I walked down to the docks I saw the ship arriving on time. So I decided to board and explore before we head out.

"What's a little girl doing on the ship to the hunter exam?" I over hear someone asking. I ignore them of course because who cares about what they think. As long as I get there I'll be fine.

Eventually we start to take off but I see that kid with the man again.

"Wait!" They shout. Hmmm... that man looks familiar. Oh well i'll figure it out later. The kid however swings them both over here and onto the ship. "Hi my name is Gon! What yours?" The ki- er Gon said

"Hi, I'm y/n." I say back. "That's a cool name y/n!"
"Well yours is also very .... unique, I've never hear that name before. And trust be I've heard some weird names."
"WOAH! Really you must travel a lot."
"Yeah, my dad is a traveling merchant so we travel a lot and camp so I'm pretty good with nature."
"Thats so cool! Well I'm gonna go fish have you seen any other kids here?"
"Ok well have fun fishing and no i haven't seen any kids like us, OH! How old are you?"
"Oh, that's sad. I'm 12 years old!"
"No way me too!"
"Cool! Well talk to you later y/n!"
"Ok! Se ya Gon!"

"Hey captian is there supposrd to be a storm today?" I ask him confused.
"Not that I know of why?"
"Well the seagulls are screaming like a storm plus its getting humid which meqns there is a storm coming." I answer his question.
" hmmmm well ok-" he starts
"HEY CAPTAIN THERES A STORM COMING!" Gon cuts him off.
"Told you." I tell him.

And I was right the storm is here. Well Imma take a nap.
"Hey, Gon! Wake me up if something happens ok!?"
"Ok!" He agrees. Now then I can take a nap now.

"WHOEVER WOKE ME UP BETTER HAVE A DAMN GOOD REASON!" I yell.
"Ummm y/n..... the captain wants to talk to us." Gon whispers back.
"Oh! Sorry if i scared you Gon I just don't like being woken up."
"Its ok!" He says back to his cheerful self. We both go to the captain. When I walk in I spot 2 other people, a blonde in traditional I think kurta clothing and the man that boarded the ship with Gon.
"What are your names?" The captain asks.
"I'm Gon, Gon Freecs!"
"Y/n"
"Kurapika" the blonde answers.
"I'm Leorio." The man sa- wait did he just say Leorio?
" hold on. Leorio Paladinight?" I ask.
"Yes.... wait y/n?!" He says surprised. I hit him on the back of the head.
"YEA its me dumbass! And thats for not writing us back." I respond.
"WELL-" He gets cut off.
"Ok you can continue this odd reunion later. I still have another question to ask!"
"Fine." We grumble in response.
"Good, now Why do you want to become a hunter?"
"Ooh! My dads a hunter and I wanna find him!" Gon answers as excited as ever.
"I want to protect the animals that need it." I answer.
"Fine since you want to know so bad I want to be a hunter for........ MONEY it can buy you anything!" Leorio annoyingly answers.
"I would rather not tell you my reason for it is personal." Kurapika answers.
"We can leave if you'd ratther tell the examiner that way." I suggest
"No its fine he is an examiner so i might as well, Also leorio Money can't buy you class."
"That's MR.LEORIO to you!"
"Sure, um i want to be a hunter so I can kill the Phantom troupe who killed all my brethren." Kurapika said.
"wow. Good luck with that kurapika I hope you achieve your goal!" I tell him
"Thank you...... y/n also question what is your relationship with leorio here?" He asks.
"MR.LEORIO, and don't tell him y/n."
"Hmmm what do you think my relationship with him is?" I ask Kurapika
"It seems you are close to leorio so maybe father daughter or significant others?" He thinks outloud. I choke on air.
"*cough* Im sorry WHAT?! Do we really act like that?" I ask.
" THATS THE 3RD STRIKE KURAPIKA maybe the phantom troupe was right and I should finish off the filthy kurta clan now." Leorio said.
"What?! We are taking this outside now." Kurapika says.
"Woah kurapika what happened to your eyes they are so pretty!" I ask.
"Fine lets go!" Leorio and kurapika walked away.
Hmmmmm his eyes were really pretty tho I start to space out. "Aaaaahhhh" a scream pulls me out of my thoughts I sprint out to the deck to see a man flying over board and Gon running towards him. I follow in suit grabbing Gons waist hugging him. I feel someone catch my feet. They start pulling us up by my legs.
~~~~when storm is done~~~~
"Gon why did you do something so reckless? You too y/n if kurapika and I didnt catch you, you 2 would've died with that sailor." Leorio scolds.
"Yes it was very reckless you were almost asking to be swept away by the waves." Kurapika added.
"Well yeah, but you did catch me/us so its fine." Gon and say in unison. They just stare at us dumbfounded. "Oh yeah! I never got to answer your question kurapika!" I said loudly.
"Oh yeah you never did. Also I'm sorry for disrespecting you MR.leorio." kurapika said.
"Nah, its fine I'm sorry for disrespecting your clan." Leorio apologized.
"Aahhh the start of the blooming love." I whisper to Gon making him blush and be confused.
"And Kurapika before i answer your question, Why did you think me and leorio were girlfriend and bo-*chokes* er boyfr-*gags* uuuhhhh the other one?" I ask sweating nervously.
"Uuum well you both acted so close when you realised you knew each other. Why cant you say boyfriend?" Kurapika asks. As I continue to sweat nervously.
" uuuuhhh I can say boyfriend just like i can say girlfriend I just can't say them together if it has me in the pair. Heh. And your question earlier he is my brother, i just haven't seen him in a while since I was traveling with our dad." I respond.
"Oh, I see. That makes sense. Hmmm may I talk to you alone for a moment while Leorio processes what you said." Kurapika asks. "Uuhhh sure, Gon make sure he's ok."
Kurapika and I then walk off to a place where no one can eavesdrop. "Before you say anything expect leorio to be yelling at me once we get back." I say bluntly.
"Wait what why?" Kurapika asks confused. "Hmmmm lets just say it'll either be because he has no clue what I ment and I went with and older boy alone else where to do who knows what OR he realizes shat I ment and his internalized homophobia comes out." I answer.
"Oh, wait he has internalized homophobia so he's *gasp*." Kurapika realizes. " yep somehow we jave two gays in the family. My homophobic, gay brother who doesnt know it yet and me, a mostly closeted lesbian." I explain.
" so... why did you hit him earlier?" He asks
" well, we were writing to eachother for a while since I couldn't get a phone, but he then didn't respond the last time I wrote so I got mad at him." I explain.
"W-what?" Kurapika asks
"Never mind, he basically just ignored me." I say. "Ok now lets go back, also I have a feeling Gon is also confused."
"Ok" we slowly make our way back to Gon and Leorio. Gon of course starts asking us questions like "what happened? he didnt touch you did he? What did you talk about? What did you mean when you said you don't like saying boyfriend with yourself?" The list goes on.
" GON! calm down he didnt try anything, we just talked about what I said earlier, he didnt touch me, he was asking about why i hit that idiot." I answer the questions I can easily. "Oh ok good. And what did you mean by that?"

"Oh!" My voice cracks, shit. "Ummmm Gon follow me. Leorio don't kill him!" I take Gon out of the range of hearing my brother has.
"Well Gon you see what I said earlier was basically me hinting at me being lesbian...." I try to explain. "Oooohhh what's a lesbian?"
Gon asks confused.
" Gon, a lesbian is asically a gay girl, so a girl who likes girls." I say.
"Oohhhhh i should've figured that out" Gon says embarrassed.
"Oh look we arrived." I tell him.

There we go! First chapter done! This took me a few hours but its the weekend and I have time so there will be more where that came from I'll probably have a posting schedule eventually. Also I appologise for any grammar or spelling errors I will go back to fix those once I finish the book.
