Hawaii smiled at her phone, watching as it dialed a certain state with whom she had been conversing for a good amount of time. She didn’t usually talk to many states unless she had to, since the lower on the map you are the weirder you act. However, she did call Alaska frequently. He didn’t make her feel as weird as the others did, and he had never supported a few things which she was still not the happiest about either. Around Alaska, she was simply Hawaii.

Anyways, the big guy finally picked up just as a gentle breeze passed by. Hawaii had always looked the best in the sunlight, and though Alaska rarely smiled he could only give her a wide smile as a response. “Aloha, Alaska!” She called out, happy to see him even if it was virtual. Alaska nodded. “Hello…” he murmured. Hawaii gave him a peculiar look. “Are you okay? You seem….” “Tired..” Alaska cut her off, tilting his head back a little. “Is it the lower forty-eight again? You need to ditch them and quit listening to their politics, seriously,” Hawaii giggled. Alaska rolled his eyes a little. “Yeah, yeah I know. I think I would much rather be with Canada..” Hawaii sat down in the shade of a tree, grinding her toes together and feeling grains of sand between them. “You, me, and Puerto Rico.” she said, with little explanation as to why. “Huh?” Alaska raised a brow. “We should all go do something someday, if we can get Puerto Rico to want to join us.” Hawaii explained. Alaska shrugged. “Puerto Rico has never seemed interested in us… Besides, you would be a better friend to him than me.” Alaska muttered. Hawaii didn’t like this response very much.

“Someday, Alaska… Puerto Rico, you and I will all go somewhere together. And you will not wear a coat.” Hawaii gave him a smug smile. “Come visit sometime, and I’ll consider.” Alaska gave her a small chuckle. The sun was setting before Hawaii, and so she walked towards her home.

“We are going to be hoa aloha~”she insisted.

“Whatever, tiny.” Alaska felt a little happy about how insistent she was.
