Crazy Night

Bella's POV

"Nothing?" I asked.

"No" Cleo said.

"Hopefully Em and Rikki are having more luck" I said.

We head back to the middle of the island. 

"Where's Rikki and Em?" Cleo asks.

"Maybe they haven't finished?" I responded.

"Let's find them" Cleo said.

"They could be anywhere!" I exclaimed.

"But they might be in trouble" Cleo responded.

"Ok..." I said and we headed back into the deep woods of Mako Island.

Rikki's POV

"Emma??" I called. "Emma!!!!"

How can I get this thing to open back up. I reached for the carving in the wall. 

"Oh my gosh!" I yelled, my hand burning. Seriously, this merman cave is the creeps. That's when the wall opened back up. 

"Gotcha" I said. But before I jumped in, Lucas came out.

His eyes were still glazed and when he saw me, he pointed....a trident??? At me. It shot out energy and all I could do was use my power to block it off. But instead of hitting the trident, it took in my power!

"Lucas stop!" I yelled. And then his eyes went back to normal and he stopped.

"What happened?" he asked.

"What happened!!?? You ran out of Em's house, swam here to Mako island, came in here to this cave, somehow opened up this carving in the wall (which had gone back to a normal carving), went inside, Emma followed you, and then you came back out with this!" I yelled, pointing at the trident.

His eyes darted from the carving, to the trident. "Then where's Emma?"

Of course, he didn't remember anything. "Still inside of there" I said.

He looked shocked. "How did I open it up?"

I put my hands in front of me. "I'm not the merman. But this all did happen when the moon was above the moon pool." Wait, what if this could only work if the moon was above the moon pool.

I ran towards the exit.

"We're locked in" I said. Then I looked at the trident. "But..."

"No way! I don't know how to use this! I don't wanna do any more damage" he said.

"We won't be able to find Emma otherwise" I said.

He sighed and started walking back to the carving in the wall.

Lucas held up the trident, and the next thing I saw, was a flash of lightning and it was open!

"Nice work!" I said.

"I'm going back in" he said.

"I'm coming too" I said. He was about to argue but, how can they argue with me? I can be stubborn. We jumped into the light and then, all around me was water.

Without hesitation we split up and looked for Emma.

We had to do this fast, or we would never find Em.

A few minutes later, Lucas came back from the deep, holding on to a lifeless Emma.

We quickly swam to the light and swam in.

Bella's POV

"Where could they be!" I yelled.

"Bella, come over here!" I heard Cleo yell.

I ran over to her. "Um Cleo, it's a rock wall" I said.

"Look at these markings. It looks like a door could've been here" Cleo said.

I looked at them. "You're right."

"Well?" Cleo said.

Cleo brought water, out of nowhere and surrounded it with water. I then made it into jelly. We did this over and over until a slight crack emerged.

Cleo ran up to the hole and looked into it.

"There's a cave" she said.

"Could they be in here?" I asked.

"How could they have gotten in if it was closed?" Cleo said.

"Maybe it opens" I said, "when the moon is in a special place. This island is all about the moon."

"Maybe" Cleo said. "I guess we can try to make a crack for us to fit in."  And we got to work.

Lucas' POV

We ended back in the cave and Emma collapsed to the floor. I quickly grabbed her and the trident. 

"Let's get out of here" Rikki said. We headed to the exit and saw a crack in the wall.

Then we heard voices. "Rikki? Is that you?"

"Yeah, I'm here with Lucas and um Emma" Rikki responded.

"How did you get in there?" Bella asked. 

"Long story but now we need to get out" Rikki said. "Step back, I think we can blast it. 

A silence passed but then we heard them say they were far back. Rikki grabbed Emma and stepped back.

I grabbed the trident, and thought about destruction. I closed my eyes and then, the wall was open. The trident was gone too.

"Hey!! Is every-what happened to Emma?" Cleo asked.

I looked at Rikki. "Moonspell" I said.

"We need to get Emma to the moon pool" Rikki said. They all nodded.

I picked Emma up and we rushed to the moon pool entrance.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while 😟. I know this is kinda short too. I kinda had writers block. I just need to get through this part and then, I'm changing it back up. So if you watched Mako Mermaids, you would recognize what I was talking about. Again, I'm so sorry and I'll try to update the next chapter, sooner than I did this one.
