Chapter 4

Sirius had just woken up. He had a bad cramp in his neck. Which wasn't surprising because he had slept on the couch the entire night. When he saw a letter laying beside him he immediately perked up. He knew exactly who had written to him. It was a letter from Rose! He opened the letter and began to read.

Dear Sirius,
Hi it's Rose. Your compass rose as you referred to me. I miss you to. And of course I am still confident of our relationship. So I have a question and you don't have to say yes, but I would love if you did. My parents want you to come to dinner tomorrow. By the time your getting this it should probably say tonight,so tonight. But anyways I told them that they had already met you. But I just referred to you as my boyfriend they have no idea who you are. I think it would be good. And you and James need it. I love you and miss you too. And try to find your way back so you can be at dinner if you need help I will always be your compass Rose.
Love your Rose.

He loved seeing your Rose. It meant that he was actually his girl. And there was nothing he wanted more in the world than just that. He knew that even though she said that he didn't have to go. He had no choice, so he wrote back a short reply saying he would be there. He had to finally leave Lily's place. He didn't want to over stay his welcome. So with a short goodbye he apparated home. It was like always cold and dark. His mom lectured him about spending time with that "Mudblood!" He was furious that she used that term to describe Lily, but he knew Lily would want him to stay quiet and calm. After the long lecture he headed upstairs to pick out an outfit for tonight. He contemplated telling his family about Rose. She was a pureblood witch didn't matter to him but his parents would be thrilled knowing that. He looked around his room. It was a mess his trunk laying open half packed on the floor. They had 6 days till they headed back to Hogwarts. Sirius was over the moon at the thought of not having to be in his house anymore. And this year there was to be a huge ball thrown. And for a very small second he forgot about his worries. But then he snapped back into reality, and decided to not tell his parents. After nearly 5 hours he went and apparated to the Potter's house for dinner.

He had to be here soon! She was worried sick of where he was. Even though he wasn't supposed to arrive till 5 and it was only 4:50 she was extremely worried. Rose has 3 sides the happy, funny, confident, brave, strong side. The tired, annoyed, just not fully there side. And the worried sick,nervous and, anxious side. She was normally the annoyed side. on Monday's, and the rest of the days she was both of the other sides. She then heard a pop and jumped. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw Sirius. He could tell she was worried so she wasn't surprised when he asked if she was okay after kissing her forehead and embarrassing her in hug. "Ya just a little nervous." "Don't be your parents already like me." " I know it's just they don't know you as my boyfriend and James at the moment isn't your biggest fan." With that Mr. Potter walked in. A surprised but I knew it kind of look crossed his face. As he welcomed Sirius into the kitchen. The dinner was quite pleasant everyone seemed to get along. James didn't speak much she could tell he was still mad at Sirius. They finished dinner and Sirius apparated home. Then her father yelled "I knew it! Euphemia you ow me 20 pounds!" For some reason her father always preferred to bet in Muggle money. "You knew what Daddy?" "I knew that you and Sirius were more than just friends!" "Daddy you bet on my love life!?" "Ya we do on James to right now we are waiting to see if he ends up with Lily. I say he does." "Thanks Dad you seem to be the only one who thinks so!" "Hey I think you and Lily will end up together. You seem to be forgetting about your sister." "Sorry." "Now son the reason I say yes is because Lily is to smart for her own good she knows now that she can do better than you so you just have to become a better guy." "Dad!" And with that the entire room burst into laughter. This could be their last extremely fun time all together before her and James head back to Hogwarts for her sixth year. She was excited but she was going to miss her dads warm arms. And her moms amazing pep talks and cooking. And she knew that for the first year ever he boyfriend and her brother would not get along.
