Stan senses that something is off when they all are sitting down at Werner's dinning table. Louis is nervous and constantly searching Liony's propinquity. That irritates Stan a lot, but he says nothing, waiting that his friends come up with it by himself. And as fare as Stan can judge, all others are irritated by Louis behaviour as well, but they don't say anything as well.
Markus is serving dessert, when finally, the tension is broken. It's Mickey words that make everyone look sceptical towards him. "Now would be a good time." Stan doesn't know what it means and he's pretty sure that not even Timothy has any idea what his younger brother is speaking about. But Liony isn't even looking up, what probably mean that she knows. The girl is digging her spoon into the chocolate mousse, soon Mickey and Louis doing the same. Without any question Markus and Timothy are following their example, while Stan is to confused to even look at the dessert in front of him, same goes for Oliver.
Stan is looking between the team captain and the CEO, but soon Louis is getting his attention. He isn't eating only pushing his chocolate mousse from one side to ay other with his spoon, face looking in concentration while doing.
"Louis?" Surprisingly it wasn't Stan who ask, it was Oliver, looking over to his teammate in concern.
After some seconds, who seems to be the longest in Stan's live, his teammate is looking up and letting go of his spoon. Stan sees fear in his eyes and even his body language isn't shown any other than fear. What confused Stan even more. Why is his friend acting out of character? He has never seen the alpha with any other emotion than confidence, being exhaust or annoyed.
"I'm afraid to confess the trues to you" Louis quiet voice ringing in Stan's eyes. "I'm afraid that you will judge me or treat me different afterwards." Stan doesn't understand anything, looking towards the speaker, seeing that Liony has draped her arm around him, what seems to calm him a little. Something Stan doesn't understand.
Louis is breathing loudly, then in an enormous tempo with a quiet voice Louis says: "I'm not an alpha."
Stan is shocked. Louis, one of the best players in their team isn't an alpha. Stan having his mouth wide open, looking at the beta. In Stan brains are a lot of thinking going on, but looking past Louis amazing skills in football, he can actually see that he is getting exhausted quicker than his teammates and that he isn't as quick to recover from it. Stan remember clearly the session where Louis was lying on the floor, not able to move one bit after a real heavy training, while everyone else recovers enough to hit the shower.
Before Stan can say anything, Oliver is beating him: "We betas will show them that they're not the only one to be good in football." Oliver is cheering, jumping out of his chair and kind of dancing next to the table.
"I'm not a beta." With the cheering beta next to him and Louis quiet voice, Stan isn't sure if he heard right. But again, Oliver is first to speak: "What?"
"I'm not a beta" Louis repeats. It needs more than a second to register what Louis statement mean. "You're an omega?" Stan asks confused, but without judgment. The asked one is keeping his head down, but Stan can see him nodding. He is shocked, doesn't know how to process this information, looking in Louis direction without seeing him.
Then he is thrown out of his inner questions when Markus voice is ringing through the room: "Can I hug you?" His voice was smooth, and Stan is now looking towards him. The small alpha is standing, having already rounded the desk, but isn't real close to the omega. Louis is looking up, is confused, but nods towards Markus. The alpha doesn't waste any time to step forwards and carefully wrapping his arms around Louis. Louis stands up during the hug and presses himself into the alpha. Stan and Oliver are coming out of their shook. Oliver is going to Louis hugging Louis from behind. For a second Louis stiffens, but he relaxes quick.
